Making a new comment for a little more visibility. If you want your menu to work for 21:9 / 3440x1440 read this:
Here is the necessary main files (I didn't do it for the flame atronach particle effect because the effect never looked quite good in any way I tried).
Important things to note :
- You need to get the artwork in high quality yourselves, I couldn't find good high resolution version of the original art of this mod, so I basically did my own with my in-game pictures + photoshop. - You can replace the mus_maintheme with any WAV format song you like. - I renamed the particle effects in order for me to be easier to "build my own" main menu, I apologize for not naming them like the original version, I can try and rename them to their original name if AndriasBartlett wishes me to do so. - In the image folder, the "MAINMENUWALLPAPER" is the preset for what you should do, if you want to make your own just paste your own image over the image that is already there and save it as a DDS format (color + alpha | bc7 8ppp fine sRGB, DX11+, autogenerate mip maps).
In case of doubt there is an example folder of how it should be structured, you can just change it on your own from there and place it in the "mainmenuwallpapers" in the data folder, I have created over 60 different menus doing this.
Here is a very quick example of how it should look:
OKIIIIIIIIIIIIII what worked for me to unsintall on MO2. After going to that sidebar thingy and doing the SKSE pllugin and finding the main menu thing i uninstalled that. then got a new main menu mod, clicked the overwrite when the new menu mod was green. Then i right clicked the overwrite then "clear overwrite" then uninstalled this and randomizer and it worked
PLEASE make this mod easier to uninstall with a delete file or an undo file its like a termite infestation once you install this mod the whole building is infested with the mod and it wont leave no matter what you do. PLS HELP.
MO2: delete: overwrite/meshes/interface/logo/logo.nif music/special/ mus_maintheme.xwm textures/interface/object/visc.dds and mainmenuwallpaper.dds All done
For those of you like me who were having problems uninstalling the mod here is how I fixed it.
However, before you read any further this was done on MO2 I have no experience with Vortex.
First, I located this mod and main menu randomizer in my mod list. I went to the file tree and deleted everything in the mod manually I then removed both mods
This is now where I was stuck as a feel where many of you also are but here is what I found out
It seems that this mod or main menu randomizer with replace/overwrite main menu files in UI mods For example, for me, I use Edge UI all I had to do was delete Edge UI and get a clean install of it. This removed the replaced files and finally got rid of this mod.
I really hope this helps at least some of you as this was frustrating for me.
Unistallation is just as easy: Delete the files from this mod from your data directory. IMPORTANT: Files already copied by my mod will have to be uninstalled manually. Delete: SKSE/plugins/main_menu_randomizer.dll and optionally: SKSE/plugins/MainMenuRandomizer.config.toml
Also check the Data folder, maybe the files are still there.
If using you're using MO2, reinstall any mod that contains files that main menu randomizer would have overwritten. Only completely new files are placed in overwrite, modified or overwritten files are placed in the mod that originally supplied them. If, as an example, you have a mod that contains MAINMENUWALLPAPER.dds as a loose file that was active when using this mod + main menu randomizer it will have been overwritten in the mod folder. I believe main menu randomizer should generate backups of any files it replaces, so if you have those backups it should show you which files to look for in your other mods.
It seems that this mod is hard to uninstall but I think that I would never need this. The mod is great, thank you
Worth mentioning 1. When install randomaizer proceed to custom installation 2. No logo version of this mod (4k at least) is kinda bugged for me, main menu was too dark. No problem with logo version though
all you have to do is uncheck the mods and if you didn't do it already, manage your overwrite folder with the files that were created the first time you launched the game with the mod. That's all there is. if you installed manually or use vortex i don't know, you must like getting whipped at night :D
Take that as a chance to change your mod manager, you'll thank me for it.

+1, this is what to expect if you don't want the mod anymore...
