I have seen many comments asking me to fix this and that. Let me be clear it. I'm in the mist of rewriting the whole program, so many of the problems you are telling me are quite irrelevant in the rewrite version. If you want to hear more update about it, discord is the place for it.
If you have problem with using this mod, You can also go to this forum to look for solutions compiled by hellwolf9 (kudos to him). I recommend that you start with a clean mod list first and then diagnose what combination (with which other mod) could be causing the problem. While it could the result of the instability of this mod, there is a reason I still label this mod as beta.
If you want stable and perfect modding experience, I would suggest you skip this mod until it is out of beta. Thank you for your support
I searched a bit and I didn't find a solution, does anyone know how to fix this? ERROR(2003): Invalid file name. File name must only be #<modcode>$<id> or #<id>. Please contact the mod author File: mod\zcbe\_1stperson\magicbehavior\#zcbe$39.txt.vortex_backup Failed to update engine
For people who think this mod is dead, It isn't. Shikyo is currently rewriting Nemesis from scratch, and has already gotten the core structure complete, and the custom "programming language" is working stably. So before you yell at Shikyo to update Nemesis, or ask someone to take the source code and upload an updated version, how about you Check the Discord in the Description?
Well... incompatible with FNIS so, ain't gonna happen, too bad with mod that needed Genesis, not gonna happen either. Too many mods in my LO with FNIS dependency.
can someone help me, just encounter this when updaing engine today, yesterday it was fine and no problem

After years of using NEMESIS, I can say with confidence it is by far the most annoying tool/mod to use in my 1,500+ list of mods...
Why is this the ONLY tool for Skyrim that needs windows anti-virus turned off or else it errors out? Why is it that I have to press "Update Engine" then pray to Allah every single time I try to launch nemesis? EVERY TIME without fail it will reach 99%, throw out error "1210" which is bullshit and untrue, then continue to crash over and over until it finally decides it's appeased and reaches 100% after pressing launch 85 more times?
I ****ing hate how finicky using this thing is. Update > Run > 99% "Error 1210" > Crash > Crash > Crash > Restart PC > Delete Output Files > Restart the Entire Process again > Crash > Crash > Oh look it finally made it to 100%
I know right, it turns out I have to (definitely don't want to tho) give up on some of my favorite animations and just run FNIS and be done with it .. Have you tried my weird fix below? Just curious if I unlocked another fix just out of luck.
1. Make Steam relocate your game to outside of Windows-controlled directory - C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common - to better one - D:/Steam/steamapps/common, E:/Steam/steamapps/common, etc.
2. Make Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex relocate your mods outside of Windows-controlled directory - C:/Users/*USERNAME*/AppData/Modding/... - to better one - D:/Modding/..., E:/Modding/..., etc.
3. Cancel all of your payment subscriptions to all of your "Premium Antiviruses" and uninstall all of your programs related to them, because Windows Defender or Windows Security is more than enough for your PC's overall security, and the ultimate antivirus lies within the user of the PC who's aware to determine and then prefers to stay away from malicious programs and websites. The formers are actually just scammers who, in the guise of "Protecting Your Computer", are monitoring every of your movement in your PC, thus invading your privacy, and they automatically delete anything they don't like, such as generated Nemesis files. Unfortunately, Windows Defender does delete these files as well, so add your game and mods' all directories to its scan exemptions.
4. Change your System Locale to English (United States) and make sure you've no different language in all of your mods' names, because they can cause errors due to encoding.
5. And most of all, follow every instructions of every mods' installation guide in their respective webpages.
That error means it can't find the behavior file. This means, most likely, that your antivirus has deleted files. So you will have to verify the integrity of files in steam and verify which files have disappeared in your mods admin folders in the case of MO2 and in the main directory of skyrim if you use vortex.
Then the best thing to do is to reinstall your mod organizer, I hope you're not using vortex, it already does what it wants creating things it doesn't have to create and adding things to the files it doesn't have to do, because then, you will have to do a complete reinstallation of skyrim yes or yes. No wonder it blocks you to the point of restarting the PC, you are constantly trying to run it without having its necessary files...
Just add the exclusions in your antivirus... No need to turn off any antivirus, just create folder and file exclusions... Even MO2 recommends doing the same so that neither Windows nor any antivirus deletes any of your files...
Come on... inform yourself a little before making comments of this type...
Having been using nemesis for so many years as you say and you still don't know about the exclusions...
The mod doesn't need the windows anti-virus to be turned off. I believe the only mod that really gets annoyed with the anti-virus of windows is dyndolod and even then it's not something people will notice unless they're watching their CPU usage closely as it's running.
