This mod was created yesterday as part of development testing for a new ENBSeries feature. I wouldn't consider it a complete mod, more of an example for others to follow. There are a lot of grass mods out there that can utilize this feature, grass isn't something I'm going to get into modding.
Please check out the comparison images in the gallery to see the difference this setting can make and if you're interested in learning how to do this for your own mod, I've included a guide that explains the process. It's not very difficult, just a bit different than the usual practice.
Thanks!
Version 1.1 - Fixed missing Specular flag - Adjusted glossiness, vertex colors & other nif tweaks
These tiny rocks are treated in-game as a grass, but they are not lit correctly without the Complex Grass feature of ENBSeries, as you can see in the comparison images.
The mod just stopped working for me for some weird reason. I was using it without ENB, and it was working perfectly as a replacer for those pebbles. Then all of a sudden, they started looking like this. I don't know what I have done, but since this happened I have even formatted my PC and reinstalled Skyrim (for another reason) and all my mods, including this one, and it still looks messed up like that. Can anyone shed some light on this? What in the f is going on? Does it only works with enb, even as a simple pebble replacer? On my previous setup I had installed and then uninstalled ENB, and after formatting I didn't installed ENB at all.... is that the reason it stopped working?? Very weird if so, cause I uninstalled ENB wayyy before this mod started looking all messed up - maybe I uninstalled it wrong or partially the first time? I'm totally clueless...
Hmm... There are two images on this mod's images page saying "Vanilla" and "Vanilla - No ENB". I would imagine by that that it should work as a simple pebble replacer, even if it doesn't look as good as with ENB. How were those screeshots taken, then? Anyway, can I make a request for a non-ENB version of this mod ^^ ? This is by far the best looking replacer for those small pebbles, whereas the vanilla ones look too blocky, almost like cubes, and the ones from High Poly Pebbles are excessively round, as if they were river bottom rocks, feels out of place... Thank you for the answer anyway.
Oh right. It's been a while since I looked at this.
How old is your ENB binary? Because it will look like that if you have an old version. Also, when I did those comparison screenshots, ENB is still injected so it might display correctly even though all effects are off.
I'm not using any ENB by now. Nor do I intend to. The only reason I used ENB before was for the particle lights. Now with Light Limit Fix that's not necessary anymore. Such a pity to not be able to use this mod, a real beauty, such a shame, but then again I'm not intalling ENB just for this mod....
Hello, for some reason my rocks look the same as vhcanton, the uv maps is not the correct size on the nif viewport and in game looks just as purple, what could be the reason for this ? I have the last enb version btw.
Late reply here, but just maybe as well good to know. If you use BadDogs universal Blender plugin it will be NitriShape as well. And it will work for all games, Fallout4, Skyrim LE and SE.
There are cases where you need to convert the Blender exports again to be "purely" SE. E.g. when you want to combine two meshes. You won't be able to combine them then. Mainly as well when you wanna do it over Nifskope's copy branch function.
Just to make sure since this doesn't seem to be covered in the guide, but do certain mesh settings/shader flags need to be enabled? If so, which one(s)?
I don't even have an enbcache folder. Issue still exists. I'm using latest 488 enb of 22nd feb and Picho ENB for NAT III btw.
Update: now it get's strange: I've uninstalled your mod and the issue still persists. How can that be? I even have reinstalled my display driver with DDU. Issue still there.
It's not your drivers, don't overthink it :) I'll update my binaries later too and see if I get the issue myself (I have it in my own game and it works)
I cannot 100% verfity it, but I think it was a Dyndolod error. I updated and rebuilt Texgen and Dyndolod completely because of other reasons and et voila the half purple rocks were gone :)

Can i use bstrishape instead? Not seen any grass mod using this kind of nif setup for Skyrim SE.
If you use the nif converter to SE it will automatically change this to bstrishape, so i guess there's some reason for it?

Thank you so much for your mod!
I did not manage to have the desired effect with the enb, but they are still very good!
I can't wait to see these rocks in game, what I had before looked pretty bad with my recent terrain texture upgrades. Thank you!
I really have no clue, why it suddenly is like that. I just updated to 1.1 (complex grass etc is activated in enb)
