Great mod! Just a tiny problem, I have had him deliver mail to NPCs in some... interesting... places, such as Sanguine's realm of Oblivion, the Soul Cairn, and the castle in the Clockwork mod. Places he ostensibly should not be able to get to, and to NPCs who have no business getting mail. Is there a way to flag areas or NPCs as inaccessible to the courier?
There are no areas inaccessible to the courier, he's got something he's supposed to deliver (your hands only), you can only learn to cope with this reality, he might as well be the ninth tower
Unfortunately, Dapper Deliveries conflicts with Diverse Skyrim and turns him invisible, as well as making him have no voiced dialogue (the captions still appear, though). Is there a patch for it somewhere? :(
You shouldn't need a patch as long as you just load this mod after Diverse Skyrim, unless you want Diverse Skyrim's multiple couriers to have the backpacks/scrolls, in which case you'd need to patch that in xEdit.
That's probably it. It's important to go into the bashed patch in xEdit afterwards to make sure it handled everything correctly since sometimes it can mess things up, especially with NPC replacers installed.
I remember that someone said their bashed patch was trying to carry over changes made by both this mod and another, which caused the issue. So I deselected this mod, rebuilt the patch so it wouldn't include Dapper, and enabled it again but that didn't seem to remedy it. I'm not handy with xEdit either, although I did look at the bashed patch for conflicts and I think I did indeed see some. Not too eager to go poking around something I'm unfamiliar with, though. Thanks for replying, by the way. At least I know what the problem likely is.
Thanks to some advice and looking things up I managed to fix it! I had to copy Diverse Skyrim's records to a new esp and then copy the outfit and dagger to it. Now he's not invisible any more! :)
I tried your fix but it didn't work for me, he's still invisible :(. The patch overwrites both Dapper Deliveries and Diverse Skyrim. I also have a Bashed Patch overwriting it if that's relevant.
Ok, nevermind, I copied the armor without the outfit record, it works now, but how do I make him look dapper like in this mod? He looks like Diverse Skyrim's courier now.
S-tier mod! Bestest boy! I get so excited every time I see him now, and – paired super well with the Courier Delivers to NPCs mod – it's not always me he's there to see. I'll just randomly stumble upon him in a random town or city and shed a little tear whenever he says he doesn't have anything for me. :') 10/10 would endorse again.
Facegen works just fine after running EasyNPC with Dapper Deliveries (and anything else modifying the Courier's appearance) disabled and selecting the Vanilla option for the Courier. After that just re-enable Dapper Deliveries and place it in Dynamic Patches category in your load order and make sure it loads after the NPC-Appearance-Merge.esp. Anyway for some reason my courier sadly isn't wearing the backpack and additional equipment. No solution for that yet.
Those are tied directly to his modified outfit records. I'd check in xEdit to see if it's not being carried over. It should be "TDD_CourierOutfit" or something similar.
BTW does it touch only the standard courier or also the other Couriers in the game? Asking, because I just became aware that there are 5 couriers running around in total
Anything special you had to do to make a replacer for this im making one myself but the og face just doesn't seem to go away and i heard the chargen is baked or sthm?
When I was playing on 1.5 it worked fine, but when I upgraded to AE I had to give him “custom” hair, otherwise it’d revert back to vanilla. I just created a duplicate of the short hairstyle in CK, renamed it & assigned it to his NPC record. If you’re using all vanilla assets, try that & see if it works. Good luck!
Ok thanks for the response I luckily fixed it by using the new skypatcher feature. also I added custom hair to avoid any issues for ae uses as per your feedback thanks.
For some reason this did not work for me. I mean he wears a backpack but his face isnt like the one in the screenshots.
Edit: Finally figured out the issue. It was Vanilla Hair Replacer. I thought that mod only changed the vanilla hair to look better, but apparently it does something that keeps certain replacer mods like this one and Vigilant NPC replacer from working. Made the change from Vanilla Replacer to Vanilla Hair Remake and this one works fine now.
