I think it comes from the parallax 2020 texture mod, too much shading on the wood cuts ? Not sure but, try with this => https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/28950?tab=files If you still have such a difference in color/shade, I'll have to take an in-depth look at my parallax meshes.
I am currently using Skyland and I don't see any problem.
this man single-handedly watered down the workmanship of Skyrim's construction workers in a few mods. No one in real life make wall scaffold this bad, even during medieval time like The Elderscrolls. Especially in a significant city like Whiterun. The gaps makes no sense at all, even with the gap reduced version.
Please, would it be possible to reduce/remove the gaps between the boards? These scaffoldings seem right now quite dangerous to walk, with spaces big enough to have the legs pass through. I know Whiterun had damaged walls the Nords seems to never bothered to repair for centuries, but one would expect them to know how to properly nail wooden planks together unless they were thinking a ladder laid horizontally is the best kind of floor.
After going in-game and exploring around a bit, I also came to the same thought. It's great that it's more 3D, but it also gives a feeling of poor craftsmanship in a way, especially when some of the gaps are significantly larger than the feet's width. Reducing the gap would really help, and avoid floating feet. You did the best balance with the Riften planks and the Whiterun drawbridge.
That said, I know some vanilla planks do have such gaps, as seen in the image below, but still, I think closing them a bit on the ones you did edit could be nice!
You're right, the guards are already handicapped because of arrows in the knee, if in addition they break an ankle ! I will have to build a hospital ! x'D
While the effect this adds is really nice, it seems to have issues when running "seasons of skyrim" in winter, it turns some parts of the walkway blue. If you need a screenshot let me know. The code in the console for one of the parts was "00063fa3"
Here is what I mean. This is just outside the gate, on one of the wall corners. There was a few of them.
In seasons of skyrim, you have to run lodgenx, texgen, then dyndolod 3 to generate the lods and meshes, and I set gamemonth to 1 in console to test what this looked like during the winter. You can see the ones next to it generate the snow correctly and look fine, but this one and some other ones look like this.
I have not tested with your other 3d mods, but I suspect some of them may have similar issues. I'll uninstall for now as I'm about to start a new playthrough, but I thought I'd just show you this and let you know. I'll track incase you update for compatibility!
Thanks for the screenshot! You do well to tell me, the goal of the modder is to release something that works. Season of Skyrim is recent it is normal that some files are not yet optimized. I'll take a closer look tomorrow I think.
Hi Yuril, sorry it took me so long to test it. But the issue still persists. Here it is again.
I wish I could help you further, but I know so little about how dyndolod and xlodgen and seasons and all of that stuff works. ?I guess I will have to pass on these for now :(
Oh yeahhhh... I seem to remember that now. I had the parallax version downloaded. I am using Skyrim 2020 Parallax by Pfuscher, if I download the non parallax version from here do you think it would work?
Yup, you were right. It was the parallax, should have thought of that. Thank you for you help :) Gonna try your other mods with it as well although I assume it would be fine if that was the issue by itself. Cheers!

I haven't tried Season of Skyrim yet.

Thanks for the report :)
Well I will have to discuss with the author of SOS to see where this problem can come from.
In the meantime, which version are you using?

But obviously that would be the problem.
Try this files?
Also lmao I didn't know you could copy a link with highlighted text in it, that's interesting ^^
"Overhauls" is for big mods like Ordinator.
