Fluffworks - Better Photoreal Foxes is #8 in Skyrim SE's most trending mods right now! Thank you all so much for that achievement! :)

If you haven't already, please consider Endorsing the mod! We are one spot away from the
    Hot Mods Section! :D

Sweet Roll the fox - Texture Poll

Something I totally forgot about that a user recently reminded me of, is Sweet Roll the fox from the 'Pets of Skyrim' CC Content! They suggested a unique texture for her and I think that's a great idea! But I'm undecided on either a full black texture or a black-red crossed texture, so I thought I'd create a 'poll' in the form of an article to help me decide and see what users of the mod would rather have!

    Vote Here!

Here is some Work-in-progress blending of the Red Fox's snout.

It's just a variant of the original textures for now, but I'll provide a blended version of the Alternate shell textures as well on release!

Let me know what you all think here :)

Not sure what's going on there, I've had no other reports of that so it must be something else in your setup.

It's the bloom effect from the ENB, I have the same issue. Turning off the bloom helps still not fully fixing it tho.

I'm just here for the fox. I gotta be honest about fluffworks. The cow looks awkward. the horse looks awkward. The textures are blurry on the shell mesh.

The fox looks good though, and your texture with it? Amazing. However, I don't want to download the entirety of fluffworks and modify every single other animal just for the fox. If you could somehow provide a fox shell texture that would be a godsend, because editing the files in xEdit only shows the shell mesh for like 3 animals, deleting the file in file manager causes invisible animals, and the mod author doesn't have a FOMOD installer for me to selectively install the shell mesh/texture I want.

Your photoreal foxes are absolutely gorgeous, and I love them. Unfortunately with the fluffworks mod the way it is, I wont use it, and thus there's no way for me to use your mod. :(

      Hi AndurilWielder!

The Alternate Photoreal Shell Textures file is standalone and does not require Fluffworks, just add it on top of this mod's Main File!

You can view the Alternate Shell Textures Here.

Hope that helps, let me know! :)

Are you able to control the intensity of a specific region on the shell textures? I would want to fade the intensity of the face continually to the snout. There are fluffy textures that look really optimized like Bears of North and some of Fluffworks like trolls, sabre cat. But ones of other mods look like statically charged fluff balls. If I can control intensity, I will start to rework the fluff ball textures.

If I'm understanding correctly, that would be done via adding/subtracting layers/parts of the mesh in a 3D modeling program, yes.

Macxhiin would know more specifics, they're the original creator of the shell meshes used here.

This made my fluff-loving heart happy, thank you for sharing it. It looks like it was a lot of work!

I forget which mods out there add seals and baby seals, but lordy would I ever love to see a fluffed-up seal. Just this absurdly round soft squealy creature flopping along the ground with big dark soulful eyes and way too much floof. I understand if you have a lot on your plate and wouldn't wanna undertake another project, but in case you are open to the idea, that's one I would love to seal happen.

I am involved in quite a few big projects right now, both my own and others, but I'll never say never :)

I would love to have a version with the more realistic arctic fox ears as arctic foxes don't have the same ear shape as the regular ones but this is just a small request, no pressure!

There are many things planned for future updates, this is one of them, it was an oversite of mine originally.

I'll get round to updating the mod as soon as I have the time! :)

I guess I'm dumb, but what is the sweet rolls eye fix for and why does it require a master file referencing something about a xxxxxxxxxpet.esl (I don't recall the exact name). Is this a patch for another mod?   I had to disable the patch. Also, files flagged as an ESL work in VR but files with an ESL extension, which is unusual, do not work. The patch isn't an ESL but the non-existent master file is). I have the main fluffworks mod installed.

The patch is for the Pets of Skyrim CC Content.

It temporarily fixes a bug with Sweet Roll's eyes. You only need the patch if you own that piece of Creation Club content (or if you're running Anniversary Edition) The esl you're referring to is the plugin for that particular piece of CC content.

This is a great mod!!, but for some reason my foxes are purple ((
I have Fluffworks, but I also have SkyTEST, they probably don't work together..tell me please, there may be a problem with something else?

I would asume its sky test for sure. You would likely need to make a patch or wait for someone to make one.

I deleted the Sky test, foxes are still purple (

upd I put the second file Fluffworks Foxes - Alternate Photoreal Shell Textures and everything worked, thanks!! They are very cute!)

Purple means missing the textures, SkyTEST was probably taking priority, thus changing the texture paths for the fox nif.

Glad you got it working in the end :)
