Version 1.10 comes with a big change. Thanks to OsmosisWrench, Skyrim Souls is no longer a requirement to get "real time peeking".
If you do not know OsmosisWrench, definitely check their profile. No, really. There are some groundbreaking mods in there. Their most recent mod: Allow Dialogue Progress BugFix is a no brainer everyone should have installed. Please, send some love their way!
The update comes with a couple of additional features too, make sure to check the changelog if interested. It should be safe to update mid-game. Also, very important information: This is how your Khajiit looks from the other side of the door.
NPCs in the interior seem to be able to detect me and come running up to the door telling me to leave when I'm peaking.
Any ideas what it could be? I have ConsoleUtilSSE NG installed. Might it be AI Overhaul or something like that conflicting?
Btw, you make some of the best mods I have seen in years. Your collection of mods is extraordinary. I just installed like 20 of them.
UPDATE: Tested on a new MO2 profile with just this mod and its requirements installed and I still get detected. Tried it in multiple locations and anyone on the other side of the door still detects me. Could it be an ini setting on my side?
So I'm running into an issue which i'm pretty sure is caused by a mod conflict as I've used the mod in a previous version of my LO before without issue. But now I've noticed it no longer works correctly. I went through the bugs and first few pages of the comments but didn't see anyone with a similar issue.
Whenever I start peeking the game loads for a bit and afterwards I'm staring directly into the door from the cell I was initiating the peek from, not the cell I'm trying to peek into. So all I'm doing is admiring the woodgrain on the door instead of peeking through.
I'm using the dynamic activation key under CTRL (used in my game for sprint) if that is relevant, although I've always had it that way without issue before. Take a peek and dynamic activation key are up to date. Simply knock is in my LO but has been in there even when I didn't have issues yet. Any idea where I should start looking for the cause?
I have a bug. When I peek on any of my saves, it turns ALL MY SAVES' player characters invisible (even if they've never peeked; even starting a new game gives me an invisible character) until I close and open Skyrim again. If I load a save made after any of em were made invisible, they will be visible if it's a new Skyrim.exe session; savestates don't seem to have anything to do with it. I saw you say the console command the mod uses to turn the pc invis and visible starts with SetAlpha, but SetAlpha isn't recognized in my console command.
I saw someone was having the same issue despite only having this mod enabled, so I'm not sure if it's a mod conflict, but I'm trying to test if it is rn.
Edit: another weird thing: after I press E to exit the peek, my camera will remain fixed forever until I make a movement input (so I'll just be staring at the door). Not sure if that's the way it's supposed to work? Another hint? The setactoralpha commands don't even do anything when I am visible.
Edit: I added more mods and somehow I don't turn invisible now. Cool. Not sure what fixed it. But if you're a user having trouble I can try to help. Or maybe what stopped it from turning me invisible was doing it in a non-survival mode save?
Edit: Nah, doesn't seem to be tied to survival mode. Just works on new saves for me ig.
It was some mod changing the default invisible chair in the vanilla game. I can't remember which though. If the search feature of the comments was working, finding it would be easy xD
When I used the peek function, I didn't enter the room. Instead, my perspective got stuck outside the door, and I couldn't exit the peek state by using the hotkey. I have installed all the requirements.
After reinstalling it several times, the error disappeared. I have no idea why.

With ConsoleUtilSSE NG, it does not crash. I thought the NG version was the same thing, but for latest game version?

There is a patch for the chair inside the mod downloads
