Frostfall 3.3.1 is now available on PC on the Nexus!
The big changes in this release:
- Detailed out-of-the-box compatibility with all equipment in Immersive Armors SE!
- Fixed tons of bugs. Most of the bugs were related to clothing detection. I also fixed the issue where the game would crash to the desktop / Xbox Home screen when selecting Quit to Main Menu.
- Bound cloaks are available once again. This means that all classic Frostfall spells are now available.
- When equipping gear, you'll see the grade of its protection (poor, good, excellent, etc). This will help give some much-needed context to the numbers and help you compare equipment.
- The Inspect Equipment power was added. Using this power, you can configure the protection of nearly any kind of gear, including mod-added equipment. (If you change the position of your armor mods in your load order, you may lose your custom settings, if you've set any. You'll have to set it again in that case.)
- Added a few new tutorials regarding fire, shelter, and equipment protection, as a result of survey feedback.
- The Endurance skill now progresses 25% faster.
- Cloth cloaks now grant a bit more protection.
- Mod authors can now add their own default equipment protection using injected keywords. Just follow this tutorial.
This should be a sticky, glad I surfed through the comments to read that Immersive Armors SE is compatible now with Frosftfall 3.3.1! I am bumping this post so others who come here wondering the same easily find it!
Does anyone play this with a magic/Heavy Armor character?
I've used this mod along with other survival mods like Campfire/Wet and Cold/iNeed for a while, but always felt like I was relegated to only using a Light Armor character wearing stuff like fur, and even with high Adaptation going to the coasts/northern regions required stopping to set up camp and warm up pretty often.
I do want to play another type of character eventually and I'm just not sure I want this installed still when I do if other builds just aren't viable.
Hello, a great mod not to be missed... but I would like to share my problem, I have installed approximately 150 mods, including frosthall, but when activating it I get a message "IT HAS NOT BEEN POSSIBLE TO ENTER THE CONFIGURATION REGISTRY OR MODIFY THE REGISTRY....." apparently the identifier of the mod organaizer is incorrectly configured or incorrectly registered, but it is the only mod that alerts me of that error, the others work normally. Any suggestions?
Great mod. Sorry to ask, but how do I set some armor to have specific warmness in SSEDIT. For example, I want fur cloak to be more warmer than regular clothes. How can I change this? By putting Frostfall keywords when I make the mod patch? Or is there any step I need to take.
I was wondering if it would be possible to make a mod that allows certain workout/warm-up animations to be used to get warmer again? A shout could activate this for example. I have no clue how to make this myself, but I thought it would be a cool idea. Some nice animations for this would be from https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/92912?tab=posts&BH=0 for example.
does anyone know how to edit specific regions to change their coldness?
i am doing helgen reborn and right outside the gate it is fine but as soon as i enter helgen its freezing, i always felt like that was a bit weird so if someone can point me in the right direction on where to change values for areas in xedit/CK definitely let me know. I just dug into the values and couldnt really find anything.
Hello, I'm playing Skyrim SE 1.5.97 without Frostfall (3.4.1) and only with Campfire (1.11). The game starts normally. With Frostfall, I can't even get to the main menu. The game loads like a ton of bricks. What's wrong?
hello all, i'm having a problem where the movement inhibition from high exposure stops applying whenever i enter combat. I have 'exposure pause during combat' set to off, so idk what's causing this. feels really gamey to be able to just sidestep the main drawback of exposure just because you enter combat. I didn't think frostfall on oldrim did this? Idk what changed, anyone know how to roll it back?
