    Questions of Varying Frequency

    1. Do you have a discord?

Yep https://discord.gg/xyycC4UW5Z. Feel free to drop by and say hi!

    2. Will these work with UCOW?

    No

    3. Do you plan on making a patch with UCOW?

    Ask Mayor ;D

    4. My game crashed after installing your patches, what gives?

Crashing usually happens because you have some mod which is compacted formIDs, and the patches assume you have not compacted. Common culprits are armor mods.

    5. Is <insert mod here> compatible?

I have no idea. Do you have any idea how many mods there are out there? :P

    6. I found a bug!

That's not a question. Also, great! Also, an incompatibility isn't a bug. If you want to let us know what's going on, please use screenshots, and especially More Informative Console to point out what's wrong. It might also make you realize it wasn't, in fact, our patch that's the problem :D

    7. Can you make a patch for <insert mod here>?

Probably! But that doesn't mean we will, and lean "no" for whether it will happen. I personally have a list of literally over 1000 mods that I check. It's literally impossible for anyone to work out patches for every potential conflict (let alone get permissions), so....it's probably just not going to happen.

What to do when you're missing the free CC content and one of the patches in the collection demands a plugin/s from the 1.6+ version of the game?

My diplomatic advice - you might create the dummy esps with the names of the missing CC plugins, and then clean the masters in the patch file using xEdit. You don't know how? Ask google, it's not that hard.

My honest advice - stop this nonsense of preventing the Skyrims update. You can update the game and then use Skyrim Lite Loader or "Best of both worlds" version of Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Downgrade Patcher - you'll still have the 1.5.97.0 engine (so all these DLL/SKSE mods which still haven't received the update to the newest version of the game would still work) and all the free CC content which is needed by recent versions of USSEP, CRF, AI Overhaul, Immersive Citizens and ever-increasing amount of our patches based on these mods.

Just checking, but no one has managed to make a Lux patch for JKs + Immerisive yet, right?

Probably a really dumb question but I'm having ctds starting new game and I've found the culprit is this mod conflicting with something

With the patches for the original  ocw do you still need them when this mod has them also I assume so I just need clarification before I look further (it possibly could be a lux patch I'm using that's not playing nice )

Really appreciate your work and again sorry if this is a dumb question

      It's in the description:

Install ONLY these patches, not the OCW (with a few exceptions mentioned in the article), ICOW or JKCOW patches.

Armor and Clothing Extension 1.6.1 is now unlinked from WACCF. Is it possible to unlink patches too, if they are now required at all?

I’m not sure why but using JK+OCW I have a good amount of floating objects in certain rooms, Adara’s room furniture mostly being in Urag’s room above hers, regular but random .nif related CTDs when entering the different halls from the courtyard, and books in the library and some rooms looking like they’ve been thrown on the ground or on top of furniture.

I have all the required patches I need, and I’m fairly certain they’re all in the right order. In a bit I’ll try and have a look in xEdit to see if something else is overwriting/changing the combo patches.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Furniture in the wrong places (especially beds), even with the correct patches setup, is usually caused by installing the mod on the existing save. Also, there may be another mod touching it - there are hundreds of thousands of mods on Nexus, and there is a rather high probability we haven't patched everything that needed the patch.

      Nothing was installed mid-game.

I do use various furniture replacers like Sotha simps stuff though, could that be an issue?

Maybe. You can use More Informative Console to check which mod touches these elements.

Hello guys. Had the similar problem, in my case the OCW_WACCF_FEPatch.esp was a culprit.

Is the Midden patch included here compatible with The Midden - Tweaks Fixes and Patches?
Also would Obscure's College of Winterhold Addons flying books be compatible with this mod?

There's nothing in the mod which could be responsible for the issue. I don't recognize this idle though - maybe you have a mod that adds new idle markers there?

I use your great mod with a combination of JK+IMMERSIVE, is The Midden Expanded not compatible at all due to the Midden of IMMERSIVE edit?

I haven't checked them ever (ICoW was more of Janquel's work than mine); a dedicated patch is probably needed. I will add it to the list, but I can't promise that I will find the time this year to verify it.

Thank you always for your hard work, which is phenomenal, and hard to imagine. How many lost way sheep of Skyrim would have wandered and suffered maybe without you and patch team.

LOOT told me to disable OCW_CellSetting.esp from the original mod when JK COW - OCW Patch is present. Should I do it?

Hoping for a solution to this. I am using Nolvus v6 and I installed this with Obscure's College of winterhold and I have all the patches.

By the way, there seems to be an issue with the JK's College of winterhold - OCW patch.esp. The bridge that leads from the city to the college, something is messed up with it and it causes crashes. I had to open up xedit and fix the issue (there was some kind of error with the bridge and I just changed it back to the bridge).

Anyway, I got that to work, everything else works except the following:

In the hall of attainment and in the hall of countenance, the staircase going down to where there is a hot tub like room, it is missing the stairs and the closet room at the bottom is also missing. I will provide pics.

I figured out the issue, Nolvus V6 installs an older version of JK's College of winterhold and not the latest version. You need the latest version in order for both these problems to be resolved.

Having a strange crash that occurs every time I complete the quest First Lessons, where Tolfdir makes you cast the ward. I get the quest completion update and a notification that Tolfdir is now a friend, then CTD. The crash decoder says it doesn't know what the issue is but it might be due to JK's CoW - ICoW. I'd appreciate any insights into what you think might be going on.

Load order is large, so it might be some obscure and impossible-to-disentangle problem arising from that.

*Edit: perhaps an interaction with College of Winterhold Quest Expansion.

*Edit 2: found the issue. I had to make sure that J'zargo's AI packages were only the ones from the JK's CoW - ICoW - AI Overhaul patch. The AI Overhaul Synthesis patcher and/or Smash tried to forward additional ones, which caused the game to aneurysm on MG01 quest completion.

So does that mean that the College of Winterhold Quest Expansion isn't incompatible with this patch?

It is as long as J'zargo has the correct AI packages. This appears to only be an issue if you're using AI Overhaul. If so: after Bash/Smash/Synthesis, look at J'zargo's actor record in SSEEdit and make sure his packages are the same as in the JK's CoW - ICoW - AI Overhaul plugin. If he has any extra ones (likely from AI Overhaul), remove them.
