    A work-around for those with missing finger snap sound:

    1. If need to, create the following folder in your game Data directory: \Sound\FX\UI\
    2. Copy the loose sound file from this mod: \Sound\Fx\SpellSword\finger-snap.wav
    3. Paste the file to the folder in step 1.
    4. Rename the file to: "UI_Quest_Active.wav"

    This replaces the vanilla "click" sound effect whenever you equip a spell.
    Now when you swap spells, the snap will play naturally like how it's supposed to work.
    Based on testing, the change will only affect the player, not NPCs.

    Some unintended conflicts:
    -The vanilla sound is also present when you manually pick spells through the UI menu, and you'll get phantom snaps now when preparing magic in the inventory. But if you use hotkeys, this issue can be mostly ignored. 
    -The loose file does also replace the magic equip sfx of your main hand, and you get a snap without the snapping motion.
    -If you toggle active quests in the UI, the active toggle sfx shares the same file, so the UI will start snapping at you when you pick quests for tracking.
    -Will conflict with other mods that replace the same wav file, 100%.

    Alternatively, if you are good with Creation Kit, you can do this more cleanly by going to the "UIMagicSelect" sound descriptor and replace the wav file with the finger snap.
    You still get conflict 1 and 2, but at least the UI won't keep sassing you for just wanting to do your quests.

      hasnt solved the issue for me however im using nolvus modpack so the game directory is handled differently and possibly conflicting with other sound mods

    I started having an issue where the combat idle animation when holdign a sword and spell keeps repeating over and over again and also no swapping magic snap sound, character tries to go in idle then resets the animation again. Disabling mlh_idle female in opr works but it juts disabled the whole thing..

    Edit: I fixed it, I use vortex so if anyone got same issues it was that the spell word plugin was not marked as regular.. It was marked as light for some reason, I think its because I used LOOT to sort plugins before so be careful for that. Hope it helps :). Now everything works perfectly fine.

    FOR ANYONE MISSING THE SNAPPING SOUND WHEN CHANGING SPELLS:

    I can't say this is 100% the fix, it could be another mod that's dependent on it that i installed at the same time (still only 4 to choose from) or some weird effed up combination of mods, but FOR ME installing DMCO (Dodge - Distar Animations) adds in the snapping sound for me when changing spells.

    just figured i would put this out there for others to try. i did uninstall to make sure and it stopped playing the sound when i did. reinstalling played the sound again. hope this helps.

    only getting snapping sound when sheathing weapon does anyone know how to fix this?

    Think the mod works great, but im not sure if its this or Dynamic Casting Ng, experiencing an issue where i cant cast with my left hand while using two spells

    For the people who have weapons on their back and this draws/sheathes from the hip, here's what I did to fix it:
    Take this with a grain of salt, I'm not a modder.

    Go to the file tree, data folder, or file explorer for this mod. Go to meshes->Actor->Character->animations->OpenAnimationReplacer->Spellsword Moveset->Base
    Delete 1hm_equip.hkx (16.3 kB)
    Delete 1hm_unequip.hkx (17.1 kB)

    I did this and it reverted to drawing/sheathing animations that work with IED (I think mine are from smooth moveset). Played a few minutes and no CTD. Hope this helps.

      After doing this, does the finger-snapping animation still work for you with the sword on your back? It just doesn't work for me

      I always get the animation, except when drawing/sheathing. the sound only plays like 10% of the time, though.

      This works but, it removes snapping animation and snapping audio.

    My setting is wrong i think
    The word slashing is working but spell casting didn't, idle combat, hand snap working tho, any ideas why?
    it's doing block animation instead casting the spell magic.

    Found a fix: Install Dual wield parrying and i change mine to right alt and my spellsword thingy is fine now, hope it helps.

    I'm having a slight issue with the mod. When I move forward, there is a shutter (excessive body movement) when running forwards (its the mag_runforward animation), but its smooth running sideways or backwards. Also the dash sprint transition is awkward, the sword is in one position at 1st, but then goes into the one on the video. 

    I am running Goetia animations as well, but even when uninstalled I still get the above issues.

    Edit: I took 1hm_runforward from 1.11 and replaced mag_runforward in the current version and it fixed the issue.

    I have spent so much time trying to figure out why the snap sound won't play when switching spells using hotkeys. It only plays when I sheathe the sword, but never when switching spells. 
    I've tried reinstalling the mod, installing a previous version of it, even attempting to learn how Behaviour Data Injector works to figure out what's going wrong. The snap sound refuses to play.
    Does anyone at all know how to fix this? The snap sounds are awesome and I want them in my game.
