Hello. Thanks for sharing this. Great small improvement mods like this are really under appreciated. Question, do u think there will be any compatibility issues with this mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/54715?
Compatibility-wise, it's fine; as long as they have the proper voicetype (BSKCrGoblinVoice). The rest of the goblins in 4thUnknown's mod use the falmer voicetype so they'll still sound like falmer unless a patch is made
Thanks. and I'm deleting the standalone goblins, i only want the bruma replacers and this sound mod for them. Thanks again for makin this and answerin my question :D .
I'm curious how this mod was made, as I'd like to do something similar for some of the other creature mods on the nexus, but the process does seem a bit complicated.
its more tedious than complicated, you just convert the animation file into an xml file and then look for the SoundPlay tag in notepad++ and replace it with a sound you want and save the file and convert it back to an HKX file, I was actually gonna start looking at some creatures to practice on
(It works on every creature mostly except for creatures using werewolf, canine or draugr skeletons)
Thank you very much for sharing your process. Tedium should not be a problem for me! I'll just need to find a tool for converting between HKX and XML.
As for creatures to practice on, have you thought about Skinwalker21's Tyrannosaurid's? Skinwalker is a talented mod author and in their mods has taken great efforts using quest dialogue to mitigate these canned sounds, but they still get through from time to time. People in the comments were interested in Jurassic Park- like T- rex sounds for the dinosaur mod. It all depends on whether this DAR method is compatible with the sabrecat skeleton.
