I use XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended and JContainers for putting shields and weapon upon my hero's back. Load order is fine and items are loaded really at the end, after every animation mod.
Unfortunately, everytime I put away the shield (to be placed on the back), the optics change and the Scutum model is replaced by the original vanilla legion shield.
I'm not sure if it is something you are able to do (I certainly am not), it's not much related to your mod, but I've been searching for a long time for anybody who could do something about the very, very thin leg parts of this otherwise good looking armor. Something like adding metal plating. Do you think this is something you can do? I'm sure such a mod would be very popular.
Hi! Thanks for the reply. Yes, I meant armor plates on the pants so the character looks less twig-legged. I think the most decent assets to do this would be the leg plates from the Ebony Plate armor, also from the Creation Club.
Oh boy, I always wondered why nobody made a mod to fix the weird way Bethesda handles Roman Style shields... Thanks for the mod! (also btw, is it possible to make the same mod, but for the vanilla Legion shields? they should behave exactly like this)

Is there some kind of fix for this issue?
Thank you very much!

To be honest, I don't think I would find good assets for this.
If you check roman Scutum you'll notice how much much bigger it is:

Watching it ("measuring" the shield by eye), I think it needs at least 30% bigger size.

I did some edits on imperial sets, but it's not over yet.
