Settings can be configured in po3_SplashesOfStorms.toml (in Data/SKSE/Plugins). These can be reloaded and reapplied in game by using the console command splashes
Alt-tab out of the game
Change settings and save config
Alt-tab back into the game, and type splashes into console
profit
Typing splashes will also log any errors when reading config settings. Detailed error information can be found in po3_SplashesOfStorms.log (My Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE).
Vanilla water ripples are generated on special water geometry (Water2048.nif) that follows the player, and not on the actual water mesh itself.
There might be some visual issues as a result, such as ripples not being generated on the far side of water, or ripples appearing to move with the player. This is unfortunately difficult to fix. If this bothers you, the ripple feature can be disabled by setting Enabled to false, under the [ripples] sections in config.
I agree. I love the water ripples, but the ones on regular surfaces look a bit too large for most types of rain (unless this is a True Storms incompatibility, but I don't see why it would be). I've lowered the NifScale to 0.3 for light and medium rain in the .toml file attached and it looks more natural to me that way. It took me a while to realise I could do this manually since it isn't called an .ini file (not sure why).
Not sure why but I stopped getting splashes on solid surfaces. Looks great on the water but nothing on land. Not sure if there's a setting I can change in my ENB (I'm using Solas) but any help would be appreciated.
CoMap or Compass Navigation Overhaul (or other SKSE plugins) could be causing the issue. Disabling those mods fixed this issue for me, make sure all of them are up to date.
Since I'm using Skyrim SE 1.5.97, installing CoMAP 4 for Skyrim 1.5 - Compass Navigation Overhaul Patch solved the issue.
Thanks! I am using Compass Navigation Overhaul. I'm 0n 1.6.1170 so... hopefully I can still use your workaround. Lazy-ass raindrops not even making splashes...

A: I guess?
Q : Does this disable the ripples provided with RW2?
A : No, these are hand placed fake ripple statics and this mod does not affect them.
Q: Does this destroy destructible barrels
A: No
Q: is this mod free of the dragon mounds CTD caused by the splashes in wonders of weather?
A: Yes
can you add support for snow cover and ash cover ?
NAT ENB III has a snow cover effect but it is messed up on water
only you can make a working snow cover mod
Or maybe i can fix that by editing smth ?
