Hello Ryn2g, I wanted to tell you about a strange behavior that I noticed. When I killed the two bandits guarding the tower and I attack the last bandit at the top, before he attacks me, the statistics count me as an aggression in the Crime section. I noticed the same behavior if enemies are near Anise's cabin and I attack them before they attack me (Ryn's Anise Cabin). As for the mammoths or tundra giants near Whiterun, if I get close enough for them to attack me or giants, the statistics also count me as an aggression (Ryn's Bleakwind Basin). I admit that I am perplexed and I do not really know how to diagnose this behavior. Hoping that a member of the community or you can help me. Thanks in advance.
After several hours of tests I found the problem : the NPCs Take Cover mod affect the mammoths / giants / bandits behavior and the aggression counter in the crime stats. Once deactivated everything works fine. I'll ask JaySerpa if it's normal.
Noticed some people mentioned top floor is inaccessible and NPC stuck up there, but when I looked in CK there were no NPC spawns or clutter added by Ryn to top of tower so likely another mod is adding that NPC up there and probable needs a patch, meaning Ryn's mod is all good
I use Ryns Western Watchtower and White River Watch. I like those mods. The location of the firepit, where the ladder is supposed to be is immersion breaking. The firepit is so close to the wooden furniture that it would either burn or scorch the furniture. Also, without that ladder, you cannot make it to the top level. The last thing I would always do after clearing that tower would be to go to the top level and go for the chest.
The bandit at the top can't get down and I can't get up. I guess I'll uninstall and check back when its fixed. I like the beds and bedrolls but that's just unworkable.
Thanks! Time to try again. I still couldn't find any way to get up but I did snipe the guy above. Maybe I'm just being blind. everything else is as it should have been.
I think I've played this version of the mod 3 times thru now, and each time on new builds the ramp/stairs are gone from inside the upper area. I have to either snipe him, or turn off collision to get up there. The loot/chest is still there, so I think the ramp is supposed to be there, but it's not.
So I just updated to latest v1.5 of this mod and, since I saw these comments, I tested it. Yeah, no stairs to the top area on the tower.
Also, at Bilegulch Ridge Dragon Mound there is a tower you go up into. The highest level there has no way to get to it, similar to this situation. I was thinking it was just by design... There is a door there, too, that won't open, but I think that is on purpose.
Edit For More info: I have both Ryn's Bleak Falls Tower and Bleak Falls Barrow installed. I have a few patch mods (all I could find) for the several Ryn's mods I have.
In my case there's nothing up there, no stair, no loot. It looks like it's on purpose. Didn't find any NPCs stuck up there, they all charged me pretty quickly, so can't say for sure.
