So if i get you right here , you say its save to compact Moonlight Tales mod now and set the ESL flag , without needing to worry about any scripts getting broken by doing so , right ?
Well im back to modding skyrim again and i had a bit of time for playtesting some stuff. So ofc i tried to compact and esl flag Moonlight Tales , but it turns out if i do so the MT MCM still starts but it will be completely Empty . I even tried running ESLify Everything , but it didnt catch any scripts to update. I will try Merging instead at a later date.
For some reason, only wolves appear when using the "Roar of the Pack". I have the "Roar Summon Type" setting in the menu set to "Wolves and Werewolves" and sometimes "Werewolves Only". It just doesn't change a thing. It's only summoning wolves. Any way of fixing this?
for some reason this mod seems to be causing the problem with moonlight tales that people are having where they cant use roar of the pack or any roar. moonlight works fine for me install this and enable, no more roars, disable this, roars work again. old one works but the updated doesn't.
uh as far as im aware there arent any "steps" just having this and moonlight tales and the roar of the pack wont work and sometimes none of the roars, it always does fear no matter where youre aiming and if you have the perks. roar of the pack works with moonlight, install this mod no longer works only the fear roar even if you dont have the perk, assuming its basically removing moonlights system and returning to vanilla roars. but yeah works fine, install this mod it doesnt, remove this mod works again.
I am asking for steps because I do not play as werewolf and currently I do not even play Skyrim (I have fun with BG3 right now). For you is oblivious what is "roar of the pack" or how to use it, but from my point of view, I have no idea what is going on.
Please provide me with info, like if you want to explain this to new player, so I can easily test it and fix it
the roars are what happens when you hit the button that causes enemies to flee, roar of the pack summons werewolves by looking up, straight ahead czuses enemies to flee, and down gives you the location of enemies, this is done by pressing the power button in wolf form, they are not working when you turn your mod, but when we uninstall it, they work
I have just started a new character with Moonlight Tales SE, MT MCM, MT MCM Updated, Menu Maid, and All in One installed and the MCM has not appeared.
Though, I do have Alternate Start installed. The issue I have with Alternate Start paired with Moonlight Tales SE is that the way it is scripted, the Ancient Ring appears in my inventory right as I leave Helgen Keep during the Vanilla Start. I however have not started a character using an alternate start that the mod provides, I just like having the options.
So, is the MCM supposed to show up during the Carriage Ride Cutscene, when I leave Helgen Keep, or is it supposed to be there no matter what?
EDIT: Alright, I have gone through the cutscene and left Helgen Keep. The MCM has not shown up. I typed the command "SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1" and it said it didn't register as a command so IDK.

When I installed Menu Maid, It said it "required" a bunch of other files too. One of them that I didn't install beforehand was "PowerofThree's Tweaks", Is that an absolute requirement?
First off right away reading this I’m 99% certain MCM updated doesn’t require the old MCM so you might be having a conflict where it doesn’t know which one to give you and if those mods modify the ancient ring, that might explain why it’s being given to you later. Its probably moonlight messing with the ring and it’s probably the two MCM mods conflicting and not knowing which MCM to give you.
for me: I use alternate start and as soon as I spawn in the Cell with the Mara statue, the ancient ring is in my inventory so if it’s added later, either somethings wrong with moonlight or somethings wrong with alternate start(prolly moonlight). I use Moonlight, moonlight MCM, hd wolves by krit and alt start. if the MCM isn’t showing up it’s probably something with moonlight, but I don’t know what the hell would make it where it gives you the ring later than it should, it should either give you the ring instantly and Work, or it shouldn’t work at all.
i’m about to download MCM updated and try that and also try MTE. If it still works for me somethings gotta be wrong with your stuff.
Of course, it didn’t work you didn’t put in the right command “setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1”
Without the setstage, you’re just typing in a random ID without a command for it to be executed; it doesn’t know if you want to enable that, disable that, move it to the player, add an item to it, reset the quest, or set a stage.

Just checked, Moonlight tales and the MCM don’t require menu maid or all in one, there’s a menu maid 2, so maybe the old menu maid is causing a conflict in your order, I’ve always used papyrus and powerofthree so those aren’t the issue. I just checked on All im one if it’s the mod that gives you like infinite carry weight a bunch of gold level 42,069 and all that s#*!, if there’s no cheat chest for you to grab that stuff and it just gives you all of that there’s a chance that mod is Causing a conflict in someway with scripts or who knows. The fact that it’s a manual download and you can’t do it with a manager also increases the chance you put one of those files in the wrong spot and that’s causing a bunch of conflict, and moonlight tales is probably the only one you noticed so far
Old MenuMaid should not be used. New one is way better. This mod does not need Menu Maid 2 at all, just when you have problem with mcm, MM2 will help you force it to register.
To see what is the real problem, look into papyrus log and MCM Helper log. MM2 is just addition.
I saw a post that said the original MCM mod for Moonlight Tales works with Mini, this is coming from the author of Moonlight Tales Mini himself, have you guys simply tried to see if this one works as well instead of spamming like a bunch of hooligans?
Well for starters, this mod requires the original Moonlight Tales SSE port which has an esp that is named differently from Moonlight Tales Mini, which that right there alone makes this mod not work as intended. Additionally, this mod alters some scripts that might have been changed in the Mini version of the mod. So this probably needs an update for the scripts in that version of the mod. Hope that answers your question.
I forgot about it completely, thank you for reminder. Mini need whole MCM, since it do not have it. Will take care of it this month for sure (if not just message me again).
Amazing work thank you for making this. The bug in your bugs tab can be closed by the way the user doesnt know how the vanilla game works. That said Apparently Moonlight tales changes the howel animation and for some reason this breaks the scripted scene in Falkreath when the prisoner werewolf there transforms and tries to climb out of the well. Just spitballing here but it would be epic cool to have a toggle to disable that animation file in a MCM so we have a workaround fix for that scene.
This can often be resolved by opening the command console and typing: setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1 or just use Menu Maid 2 - MCM manager (this manager automatically finds and adds all MCMs).
Looks like a nice idea with all the changes! Sadly, for some reason, unlike the original MCM mod by mareeni, this one doesn't load for me at all, must be a conflict somewhere.

Not sure if you did this, but I would assume before you run an ESLifying script that you have to extract the BSAs.
Please provide me with info, like if you want to explain this to new player, so I can easily test it and fix it
