If you are reporting an issue you believe to be a bug or asking a support question, please fill out a bug report with a detailed description of your issue, the version of the mod you have installed, whether you downloaded the mod as part of a mod list/mod pack/etc., and any potential patches or edits that are affecting the mod in your game. Do not leave bug reports in the comments as they often require followup questions for troubleshooting, fill out an actual bug report in the appropriate tab if you are experiencing a potential issue and I will get back to you when I am able. If you leave support questions in the comments, you will only get a reply referring you to this sticky, and you will need to fill out a proper bug report before any support is given.
Hey, I've encountered an issue where the students in the hall of attainment (namely J'zargo) recognise the animated broom npcs as trespassers after dark, and will constantly inform the broom that it needs to leave. While annoying in of itself it also prevents the player from resting or waiting in the same cell.
So far i've mitigated the problem by disabling the 2 brooms before the students take notice of them, as doing so after they've been told to leave isn't effective.
The game seems to associate the brooms trespassing with the player, despite joining the college and previously being able to rest there. Although no bounty is accrued and no one turns hostile, it seems the brooms don't have permission to remain once nightfalls.
Hi. I like this mod but the books add clutter. I would love to see a patch to remove the books, with or without the spell on vendors. The brooms are fun and whimsical, but I have no desire to summon my own.
The spell tomes do not conflict with interior mods, at all. The worst that can happen is that a book might fall on the floor if the furniture they are placed on is moved or removed. A book on the floor is not a mod conflict.
The idea of the mod is that this is relatively common magic that many mages would utilize & have access to. Limiting the spell tomes to a single vendor would not fit with this concept.
Mhm I see. However I really dislike them laying on the ground. Maybe you could do a version with the books added to all court wizards or just without books. The perfect version for me would to only have the brooms in the college and no books or other brooms anywhere. I think it's really immersive in the college and it adds some vibes
Limiting the brooms to the College of Winterhold also goes against the concept of the mod, being that animating a boom would be very commonly used magic. From the mod page: For a Court Wizard in service to a Jarl, what better way to prove your usefulness in the day-to-day than to automate a process that usually requires human labor? For a master wizard or researcher like Neloth, or Calcelmo, would it not prove useful to keep your place of study clean without needing servants bumping into you left and right?
I will not be making any alternate versions of the mod to fit your specific tastes, sorry.
Heya! I love this mod, but one of the brooms corners NPCs in JK's blue palace (only jk i have) up in the throne room. So two npcs cant move, one of them is stuck facing the wall and the other is staring down at the broom. How can I edit some brooms to not trap my NPCs? I mean its hilarious and weird at the same time :)
lol! This hasn't happened in JK's Blue Palace in my game but it's just a result of them having collision. The brooms sandbox around their area in a certain radius, so at some points they may walk over in front of an NPC that is near a wall. You can wait for them to move on their own, or (if on pc) select them in the console and type moveto playerto move them instantly to where you're standing.
Otherwise this shouldn't happen all the time, just if they happen to walk/stand in the exact wrong spot at the wrong time. I use all of JK's interiors & this mod was designed to work w all of them & I've never seen NPC's get trapped anywhere in the Blue Palace so I'm inclined to believe it's just a silly coincidence
thanks! ill remember to do this and untrap npcs I see in the future. it's my first foray with jk stuff so I didnt know if it was that or maybe because i have the interesting 3dnpcs?
I was just pretending the broom was having a staring contest with the npc :D
Approved! Everything works great, I really liked the idea and execution. Thanks for the patch.
I don't like to be intrusive, but I want to ask. I noticed that you like to make creative modifications, including magical ones. Have you ever wondered what to make for witches and magicians, a companion BROOM, which will be an assistant in battle? Considering that you have already trained a regular broom to walk and perform actions :)
