Well... really good idea always wanted a mod like this, but the jittery follower is just too distracting, and watching him fall back and them re-appear from nowehere is way too funny it kills all the mood, also sometimes when the follower re-appear it seens he cant get on the horse so he stars to apparing and desappering while jittering and moves the horse and character with him like he is some kind of ghost with psiquic powers,
While that may be true some scripts reference items in an esp that require them to be manually edited to account for a new position, why compressing scripted mods where a quest doesn't call on the scripts directly can often have negative effects.
I've been using this for several days now, not one issue yet. After installing the mod, MAKE SURE YOU ARE UPDATING AND THEN LAUNCHING NEMESIS! This mod adds a few animations. Also, YOU NEED TO EQUIP THE HORSE MEDALLION TO THE FOLLOWER YOU WANT TO RIDE YOUR MOUNT WITH YOU.
All this mod is doing is "magnetizing" the follower who's wearing the Horde Medallion to your back when you start to mount. It then it runs the animations. Obviously for animals there are no animations, but It'll literally work with any creature that can equip a necklace. This mod has tons of potential, but I lack both knowledge and time.
I think this is really awesome idea but sadly it seems to contain several bugs.
1) When follower or player mount and dismounts its quite often that usually follower gets stuck in riding pose. 2) I enabled the ride on same horse and that my character ride on the back. After I dismounted and save load I got really weird behavior that my character at times was forced to mount animation. I got it fixed by disabling everything and asking follower not to ride on same horse. 3) When follower is on same horse the actor seems to stutter and shake in some camera angles or moves.
I wonder if this is partly possibly to implement with OAR. Or if that only makes it more clunky.
I love the mod, just had to many issue with the animations and the NPC when using any method but the anulet and riding behind, even then the NPC would shake and shudder. this mod should work with any horse? or if another mod has a horse that comes with it could there be a compatibility issue? the horse I was using was onyx from the mod skyfall. I know that the speed was increased with that horse and made me wonder if that could cause an issue.
did a little experiment and its the animation with the NPC and the bounce of the NPC on the horse that is showing the shuddering, due to onyx moves faster then the other horses, you will see it more pronounced, maybe its a physics thing and the namation or when the animation was crated, the movement of the NPC is to high and it makes then shudder on faster mounts, not even sure you can correct that or turn it down, but on vinniilla horsed I did see very little issues
ALtough there are great mods such as NFF that also give mounts to followers, I always felt annoyed how for away the get behind you, specially when you are a mage and need your follower tanking. This mod alone solves this issues and give me the best reason to buy a horse that I ever had.
Absolutely great. Works as as advertised on my 1500 mod list. Had no problems after testing this for 5h. Riding around with my follower. Tested in every imaginable situation, no problems. A few times I experienced follower jitter on the horse. But it always settled eventually. works super with physics enabled bodies, watch follower closely when making slight movements on the horse, u know what I mean.lol. Another unexpected bonus is that now your follower can go with you into un-navmeshed places in a fairly immersive way.. .example I am using fat Skyrim ,only the northeastern territory which is not nav-meshed. Before the rideshare mod I had to leave my follower behind. I did not bother with teleporting them ever time I moved further. Now follower moves with me on the horse and no navmesh becomes less of a deal-breaker.
