Love the mod!  It's nice being able to marry Ulfric and also make him a follower and be at your beck and call :)

I had the thought... marry him as a female khajiit.

Why a Khajiit? Is that from a meme?

      @SneakyShhKitten
Because the nords are racist against argonians, dark elves, and khajit.

@GarbageMan9321 this is such a tired boring claim.

in Skyrim you literally face less than 5% of the racism that you experience as an 'outlander' in Morrowind. a few random nords are actually racist. the rest, including Ulfric and Galmar, just hate the Empire, and want the people of Skyrim to be prioritised at least in their own country, after being used for years by the Empire only to have their sacrifices in the war rendered meaningless and their religion trashed. I played the stormcloak side as a dark elf and they treat you like you're one of their own. If you're not a nord, the only thing Galmar cares about is what your reason is for fighting for Skyrim, and then he immediately recruits you after the initiation task. They literally hail you as a hero and Ulfric calls you a true son/daughter of Skyrim after the questline if you play as an argonian, dark elf or khajiit the same way they do for a nord player character.

It's almost like its not about race, but about respect and loyalty to the country itself and its culture or something!

Eh, Skyrim is just fundamentally designed to be pretty much be neutral on your race. Khajiit aren't supposed to be allowed in cities and Dunmer and Argonians are segregated in Windhelm but your character has free reign to go everywhere because Bethesda didn't want to lock you out of gameplay and the Dunmer on Raven Rock don't treat you like a farming tool if you're a Khajiit or an Argonian even considering how they're Morrowind native Dunmer and were alive long enough to live in a pro-slave society, see the Red Year and the Argonian invasion in one lifetime.

He's a huge ass and is exceptionally rude, but I love hearing that THUNDER clap whenever someone shouts ^V^

It's a shame there is no ESL version for this mod!
It's essential for a Stormcloak lady playthrough imo.

I wish this would work without CV though! For a play through with Conquest of Skyrim. That would bring marriage into the truce negotiations. ^^

But overall nice mod. Played it before on another profile. :)

If you'd prefer to skip the civil war, you could try it with "The Second Great War". It has that option in its MCM + choose the winner. And if you don't want the war vs the AD to start, you just check "delay war" in the MCM.
I haven't tried yet its compatibility with this mod, though.
Oh and I think, also Open Civil War lets you avoid the bugs. City Battles can play out on its own. You can choose to "tend the wounded".

I'm trying the 2nd Great War.... I just used a clean 100% save where the Stormcloaks won and then right after the start you can approach Ulfric with an amulet of mara on and then get married.  In the process, actually before you can get to the ceremony the next day, you should get a Nord Messenger for the next great war.

Don't know if there's anyone left to reply to this, but I've encountered a pretty glaring bug. I was able to do the proposal, invite guests, schedule the wedding, attend the wedding, and participate in the ceremony. However, as soon as the ceremony ended, I got a quest pop-up which said "Failed: Guests are arriving soon! Return to the Temple for your wedding". At this point, everyone started walking out and Ulfric treated me as though I had not shown up for the wedding at all. I tried it again without inviting any guests and had the same result. Can anyone help? At this point I don't even care to have the ceremony in game, just flag Ulfric as a spouse.
EDIT: It was the mod that lets you have marriages in the Solitude Temple and marry Elisif that was causing the bug

If you're using Vortex what you need to do is click on install from file and choose this mod and then it should download

this is brilliant, but having tried Ulfric now I want to try other npc's.  In particular, Galmar Stone Fist (when modded he's quite good looking if he takes the stupid bear off his head).  Is there a way to apply this type of mod to others?  Maybe Balgruuf, Igmund or Ondolemar?  Avulstein Gray Mane?  Need some variety here!

Any ideas? By the by, I had exactually the same issues with the Ralof mod as well... Any help? - it was me being a derp!It does work fine!

Yeah, Make sure you've talked to Maramel (spelling?) in Riften to get the Amulet of Mara. Regardless of if you already have an Amulet or not, he must be talked to first.
