Really weird that this mod works by installing it as an overwrite of its own outdated version. They should at least set up a disclaimer that it's indeed supposed to work like that in the description.
I have found that if you copy over a directory and file from the original mod to the AE version it works without having both installed. On the original, copy from this directory SKSE\Plugins over to the new version. They are the only files that are missing. File-> BehaviorDataInjector.ini and Folder-> BehaviorDataInjector.
I have personally, never replied in disgust or out of anger due to mods not working,
I'm currently hardlocked on 1.6.1170, and can't install this mod/shield of stamina, tried installing AE versions, then overwriting with SE, which seems to be what this mod does, yet no luck.
My only fix would be to come across an older version of Behavior Data Injector, yet only I cannot find any, and the mod author hasn't divulged his old files (which also in my opinion, is extremely insensitive and makes it intensely more frustrating to backtrack or source older versions for a mod that should be FULLY functional 2 years down the line)
And before you finish reading my message, with any contempt, I issue a 20-50$ CASH bounty for anyone who can fix this, such a shame that money is the only thing motivating people to FIX what should've been functional from the jump.
Please contact me directly, I have no problem throwing money at this, this is f*#@ing ridiculous.
(got stuck here downgrading, decided to live with it, can't afford a pc right now, and don't care enough to fix this bullshit unless I have a rig)
How does. This requires original mod. make any sense wahtsoever? the original is not compatible with the current version, the whole point of this mod right here should be the replacer for that mod, why do i need the old mod? why? it doesnt work with latest version.
It still needs assets from the original mod which the author of this update may not want to (or may not even be allowed to) redistribute. All this mod includes is replacements for the two files that were causing the game to crash on startup if you were using a newer version of Skyrim.

Why did you put the original mod as a requirement? Why not just make the package work for AE? Your Non AE mod explicitly says it WONT WORK for AE. mod authors really gotta work on their communication.
This didn't automatically overwrite when putting it into my mod manager - so I had to manually take the files from this mod and put it into the Behavior Data Injector.
Just a heads up for anyone having problems with this - that's most likely what you need to do.

This mod may become out of sync with upstream due to real life taking priority.
This port was tested against the debug output only.
Weird that an update CAN require the previous version, and simply use it as scaffolding for the update? PERISH THE THOUGHT !!
