THIS MOD REQUIRES A NEW CHARACTER. (thats as large as it would let me make the text)
Yes, a brand spanking new character. No, this isnt just a gentle suggestion, you need a new save/character/playthrough whatever you want to call it. If you want the mod to work correctly you need to start a new game by clicking "NEW" on the main menu.
It is just a side effect of me replacing a vast amount of in game papyrus functionality with the SKSE plugin.
If vanilla Survival Mode has so much as touched your save (and it should have as it is now been shipped with the vanilla game for over a year now), even if it hasn't been enabled in-game, it will cause issues.
Edit: To be clear, the mod can be updated mid-save unless stated otherwise if you are playing a character already with this mod installed. I will be sure to make it clear if an update is save incompatible.
I hope you all enjoy this mod, as it has been a while in the making!

Are there any known incompatibilities that would cause a crash? I'm on 1.6.640 and SMI doesn't cause any issues while in interiors, but a few minutes after entering a worldspace, it consistently crashes and the crash logs point to nonsense XPMSSE errors that stop happening when I disable SMI. Nothing overwrites it, and the plugin is loaded at the very bottom of my modlist.
I remember using it a few years ago and had a save that went on for about 80 hours until it started doing this and it ruined that game. I have a weird itch to play survival again but none of the other survival mods seem appealing or have the same papyrus bogging down issues as vanilla and my modlist is already stuffed with heavy junk.
Seems like this mod could be nice however i cannot get it to work. When i launch the game using SKSE it crashes on Bethesda logo screen. My Skyrim is version 1.6.1170 so thats the file ive downloaded. Same for Address Library and skse. Game crashes even if those are the only things im using so i know its not a mod conflict. I cant find the esl file anywhere but ive been using vanilla survival mode so i guess it has to be somewhere? And the only readable part (atleast to me) of a crash report is the below:
Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FF8F4BD9967 SurvivalModeImproved.dll+0009967 FormLoader::LoadHungerForms
Did anyone had a similair issue and know a solution?
Instant edit: While writing this comment i launched skyrim without using skse loader to test if it would work and it did. After that i tried again using skse and for some reason this time it didnt crash? I have no clue what happened but it seems that the solution was to launch skyrim without skse for a min so im still leaving this comment here in case anyone else encounters similair issue.
If you're using this with Legacy of the Dragonborn and want to use the Airship you will need to go into the files, SKSE, Plugins, and change the SurvivalModeImproved file inside to say bDisableFastTravel=0.
That's it... this mod ruins survival mode.... tried for days this mod, and almost never I got fatigued, travelled from windhelm to whiterun without getting any near of being too hungry, nor the cold values were anywhere near significant, I didn't even have to camp, leaving camping mod unnecessary, and guess what? It's not customizable, other than you may brake your save trying to uninstall it. So, for people who wants to get rid of this cheat disguised in "balanced": b4 unistalling, deactivate SM in game, uninstall, check your game files integrity in Steam (or GOG), open the game, go to creations>options>download everything from library>update all your content>enable, close your game, open LOOT, check which files need cleaning, clean with SEEdit Autoclean and finally, organize your load order in LOOT, and never get near this mod again. Sticking to vanilla SM for now, until I find something that's really the survival thing.
Yes, SMI works and I can confirm. Though I agree with @alonsotherion on that the mechanics of the mod were nerfed hard. You can basically go 24 hours without needing to sleep. I have a mod that demands I study spell tomes to get learn spells and SMI broke it too. I really like the optimization and new feaatures (specially seasons) that SMI brings to the table, but it really needs some way to configure its rates. I sadly uninstalled it.
I love the mod; script optimization is always a must. I see hunger has been made easier, and I don't see any values to make it harder in the ini. Are those settings an ESP edit?
The shippped SkyUI integration works, but it is for non widescreen 21:9. The bottombar.swf from Complete Widescreen Fix for SMI shows warmth initially on gear, but after the first gear is swapped it stops showing. Also it doesn't have the itemcard changes to show warmth. I tried to open bottombar.swf from both with JPEXS, but I don't really know what I'm doing. The main issue for SMI's version is that the bottom bar graphic doesn't go fully across the screen and the anchor for all the values is inset from the right of the screen an awkward amount. The Complete Widescreen Fix implementation like I said stops showing warmth values after the first equipment change and you have to exit out of the inventory and come back in to see warmth again.
I've been trying to play the game with CC's Survival Mode and some other mods like Gourmet, Adamant, etc. (Simonrim, basically) and I'd had the attack speed issue plaguing my save. I don't know if it has been like that since the beginning or at some point I got it... Point is, ever since I noticed it, it's been insufferable.
Does this mod deal with the attack speed issue that seems to happen due to the regular CC's Survival Mode/Vanilla?

Selecting the patch from FormList Patch Collection is the cause and Survival Mode Patch Collection is incompatible.
