The reason it may not be working for everyone is because of a tip I read yesterday, skyrim prefs need to be changed in the steam folder AND in your documents folder.
Still didn't seem to work, Game Directory perf set to bBorderless=1 bFullscreen=0 and same with Documents perf. yet no change. I launch through SKSE which is probably the issue.
I don't know if it is me, but with the last Skyrim update AE of today, 1.6.1170, i am now unable to get borderless mode. I changed the setting in the Bethesda game launcher + ini in My games + ini in Skyrim + i added this mod. Nothing works, the game want to be in full screen no matter what.
I only have one screen, but i need the game to run in borderless to use the sound key on my key board to increase/ lower the volume, and those key only work in borderless.
I've tried this, BethINI, and changing the SkyrimPrefs.ini with no luck. I can not get it to run Windowed so I can stream Skyrim no matter what fixes I've found online. The only way I can window out is ctrl+alt+delete and I am utterly stumped at this point. Any help is greatly appreciated. cheers.
You have to edit the .ini file used by the game, not the ini file provided in this mod. After you install Skyrim and run it for the first time, it should be located in the documents folder. For me, that's "{Username}\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SkyrimPrefs.ini"
Today is a sad day. My friend ,Lord aerher, downloaded this mod tonight and now, he cant play skyrim anymore. We have tried everything but, thats life.

?The config in this mod spells it the latter way.

This is just INI tweak, nothing special.
Manually changing the values in SkyrimPrefs.ini to
bBorderless=1
bFull Screen=0
works though.
