I had several family members die in the past couple of years-then I lost my career, and then lost my house. Please do not assume I do not care about my mods if it is sometimes hard to get hold of me. I know some people don't have empathy and, ok, sure, but I need understanding right now rather than judgement, so I've been forced to retreat from various aspects of my life sometimes recently and honestly nothing makes me more sad than the times I have to retreat from Skyrim. There's still a lot going on and sometimes we lose internet for a few days. If anyone knew about me from before, no, I'm not in my wheelchair most of the time anymore, so that's nice. But walking to funerals isn't any more fun than rolling there so it hasn't done as much as it should have for me. :[
For the moment, we are completely aware this version isn't adoption friendly. There are a lot of parts of adapting a mod to adoption that were added by the prior author for a _much_ older version of adoption that broke when coming over to SSE. Some of the requirements aren't there at all. It's a complicated skein to unravel. It's actually pretty complicated to figure out which things are there and working, which things are there but need to be wiped and replaced, which things stayed in the old house vs which came with us etc. so thank you for your patience on the kids-my priority has been trying to get a bathing script working for the new bathing area i've built in my personal version of the house so I can get an expanded repaired house out to everyone, not working on the adoption for now.
If you have Immersive Citizens installed, Carlotta will probably stay in her house and you might get repeat floating doors. Delete the doors in console rather than disabling them. I can't tell people they have to delete such an awesome mod as IC, but it's definitely going to cause little issues. Please understand. It's the IC author's decision that no one is able to make patches involving their mod, so unfortunately you either have a few issues or pick one or the other or try placing IC above WDB in your load order to minimize issues. Thanks~! <3 _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ As someone who started using Populated Skyrim about a year ago I now always get the door to Carlotta's house. Always. All the time. Every time I enter the area it's there again. Load order doesn't change it. Absolutely nothing in THIS HOUSE MOD is triggering it, indicating it, causing it. OTHER THINGS that affect Character pathing(among a few other things) just... make it reappear. There is NOTHING this house can do about it-trust me, it annoys me and I have tried-other than go back to the original location, of course... in which case it would not be a Wind District Breezehome.
just want to give a shoutout in 2024 that i really appreciate your lore friendly version! i love the wind district location for breezehome, but am a staunch lore-friendly player. so thank you!
I had used this mod a long time ago, then uninstalled it. Yesterday I decided to start using it again. I moved all my stuff out of the vanilla breezehome, did a save, restarted game, and installed this one. Everything is working okay so far, except when I try to exit the home, there is just a big black square, no door. I can enter the home just fine, but to exit I had to go to my bedroom, then to the balcony, and jump off. Thank you for the mod. I love it.
Found this post further down from SpeedFreak1972: use this console command setobjectivecompleted housepurchase 10 1 to complete the visit breezehome objective. Hope that helps
Caused a huge crash. No wonder bugs are turned off. Upon entering music kept playing but nothing except black screen. Useed alt tab to exit skyrim se and even task manager had a hard time shutting it down. I have very few mods. No city altering mods, very little graphics mods, none for in the cities. I have primarily 80% clothing mods and some animations. It could be another mod its not playing well with but I doubt it. Turn on bug rep[orting so we can see what others are experiencing. Those bug reports are what keep me from downloading or downloadingh a mod. Im pretty sure your aware of that.
Right... so guessing you didn't bother to read the sticky... its a game, sometimes people have more going on than a game. The modder's account hasn't had any activity since the sticky was uploaded and i am sure they don't want to be bombarded with email notifications from the nexus on a mod they no longer have the time or energy to support so they removed the bugs tab. Modder made for free, real life got in the way. Let me know when you make a better mod.
1- As macgw086 reported before, my game crashes when you look at some items between the wall map and the strongbox, inside the main bedroom. These items are 2 tubes (they look like scroll holsters) and a pile of coins. To fix it you may disable them by typing the console command "disable" for each of them. You can move nearby while avoiding pointing the cross at them, opening the console and clicking on each of them before entering the "disable" command. In my game their IDs are: -Pile of coins: E00A0E3 -Tube: E00A29A -Tube: E00A29B
2. As TheMcCrippler reported before, if your follower (in my case, Lydia) enters into the house he/she will get stuck inside. To fix it you can either open the console and click on him/her to lock your follower's ID in the console or, if you already know the ID, lock it by means of the command "prid xxxxxxxx". Anyways, once you have leaved the house type in the console the command "moveto player".
I have very few mods installed in my game because it's a almost recent installation. Here is the list (by their actual load order). #Mod_Name "DLC: Dawnguard" "DLC: HearthFires" "DLC: Dragonborn" "Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch" "Address_Library_for_SKSE_plugins" "SSE Engine Fixes (part 1)" "Better MessageBox Controls" "YesImSure" "SkyUI_5_2_SE" "SkyUI SE - Flashing Savegames Fix" "Stay At System Page" "Unread Books Glow SSE with MCM" "Jaxonz Renamer" "Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks SE" "iAFT-USSEP and DLC Patch" "AFT_NoFriendlySpellDamage" "Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE-" "CBBE Normal Map Options" "Remodeled Armor for CBBE SSE" "Wind District Breezehome SSE Lore Friendly Personal Version"
I can confirm that (1) is a consistent source of CTDs for me as well. Thanks for the detailed information. Though when using Nether's Follower Framework, my followers will automatically teleport outside when I leave the home. I didn't see Carlotta's "floating door" as mentioned by others. Still, the mod does appear to break her AI (she remains at her home indefinitely; I don't use Immersive Citizens) and the absence of adoption support makes the children's room a wasted space. An otherwise fantastic rendition of Breezehome, but others will need to decide if it's worth these bugs.
Hey. Noticed an issue where you still have to visit the original location to complete the miscellaneous objective "Visit your new home" and that Carlotta no longer appears in game.
