So just to be clear, is this mod supposed to prevent normal skill leveling? Asking because I installed the mod, started a new game, picked up a bow, shot some enemies with it, and the Archery skill is still leveling up like normal without the skill potions. Is that supposed to happen, or am I missing something? I am using Ordinator, but I have this mod at the bottom of my load order below everything else.
You need to use a mod like Skyrim Skill Uncapper or manually set the skill gains to 0 on the skill trees in xEdit in order to make it so skills can't level up normally. Unfortunately, there wasn't a way for me to stop normal level ups without running into massive compatibility issues.

I have tried experience mod and Static leveling and it just doesn't work to my taste. Insightful leveling would really hit the spot if only it was better integrated with base requiem.
Bug?: I'm not sure if 3tweaks also had or has this problem but when killing an enemy indirectly like with a summon/follower/enemy under your control (fury etc), they won't drop the diluted insight potion. I had a look around in xedit and the scripts and can't find any ways to change that so they do drop. Was this a design choice? I'm not too familiar with 3tweaks.
I love the idea of this leveling system but it doesn't let me play builds that aren't direct damage dealers.
I can't say if this is still the case in 3t since this mod is based off an older implementation of the system (and I havent had the interest or bandwidth to update this mod), but this was a "feature" of 3t (to prevent some exploits) when this mod was made.
Hi, if you're still maintaining this mod, perhaps you can make a way to convert Regular skill points to Greater skill points for your next update. Eventually I think as the game progresses all my major skills will be above 50, and Greater skill points are the only way to increase these skills.
Open it up in SSEdit, go to the Global section. There are four entries, Nanner Global NoviceCost, ApprenticeCost, AdeptCost, and ExpertCost. Click on them and edit the value to whatever you wish. Novice is skill levels 1-25, Apprentice is 26-50, Adept is 51-75 (and is where you start needing Greater Potions), and Expert is 76-100. So you could change them to 5, 10, 20, and 30, respectively, like I did.
Just wanted to say this is a great mod! I found it by chance, but have come to really enjoy it. I did make the tweaks to make it 5:10:20:30, as the default was a bit rough. Thank you!
Hello! With this and Skyshards Offer Skills, I have finally found my preferred levelling setup so I am v appreciative. Is there any way to set the potions to the top of the loot table when looting containers and bodies? It's not too big of a hastle but not having to scroll all the way down for something I'm always going to pick up would be a huge time saver in the long run. Thank you for your time.
Does this add potions of insight to chests when used with OWL? I have the patch enabled and while I am getting diluted potions from killing bandits I have not received anything from chests within embershard mine ec.
It will, however since a lot of other mods may touch the containers that potions of insights are added to, they might be overridden depending on your load order. You will likely need to either:
A. Manually patch your leveled lists and container lists B. Make a bashed patch

I made esl patch to set to double the amounts but still used the same 10 and 20 for 0-25 and 25-50 respectively
to be more specific I changed float value of nanner_global_novicecost and the other three similar records upto expert
If you want to change a global in the middle of a playthrough you have to do it through console (set globalname to X)
global values are baked into save
A. Manually patch your leveled lists and container lists
B. Make a bashed patch
The mod isn't version dependent, it will work with all game versions (1.5.97, 1.6.353, 1.6.640, etc).
