What's New in version 2.0
Installer now contains both FULL and LIGHT versions of the mod for you to choose from. Most up to date plugin included which lowered the volume of the foxes. Incorporated most up to date patches into the installer. Fixed the incorrectly packed BSA for the LIGHT version of the mod.
When it rains I get a loud static mess of a sound inside taverns with interior weather effects (I know from toggling in the MCM that it's this sound effect causing it). Anyone know what might be causing it? I don't use any other mods that change game sounds AFAIK. Other than that I love the mod.
Used this mod for a long time and loved it, but unfortunately it has been causing consistent crashes in my game when exiting to an overworld area. I had all the patches and whatnot needed for it, but I couldn't continue to have this mod for whatever reason. I appreciate what it gave me prior, but onto other mods to fulfill the same purpose for me.
No, mod works. If it was not working it would not have 2 million downloads. No one here knows what mods you are running and how your game is configured. It is not the mod, so what is left is your other mods and configuration. Only you know that.
Hopefully you are using Mod organizer. Copy your profile. Untick EVERY mod except this one, and skyui, skse. Then start a new fake game and check if it works then. make sure volume in game is high.
I keep hearing like this distant squeaking sound whether I'm in a dungeon, or in a town, or even in a city and I have literally no idea how to get rid of it. Does anyone know if they have this same thing happening where it's like a distant yelling rat sound and how to disable it or is it not this mod? I think this mod is the only one I have that installs more new sounds. It goes off like every 5 seconds no matter where I am.
I have same problem. This weird ambient dungeon sound is very anoying. It is affected by "effect" option in sound settings. Can't get rid of it apart from removing mod.
tried MCM a long time ago... if it worked, I wouldn't be saying anything. Got it turned down a lot though with a mod that makes interiors a bit quieter, and I only hear if frequently.
I need help. I have no sounds from this!!! I have no other sound overhauls, i have the CoT patch (since i use CoT) and I have SoS loading before Ai Overhaul as the posts instruct but still no sound. Any idea what could be the problem? I checked for file conflicts, it says it has none. I checked the loot load order and made sure it was as specified in the pinned post and nothing works? Reinstalling it did nothing either. is there a console command to reinitialize it like with the old le one or? Please help.
And what about compabilities? I know, what some of them can overlop another one and some of them already have much patches on each other, but I want to use only one (or two, maximum) to playing without over-scripting from BSA archives and GPU troubles in some areas.
There is nothing wrong with those other Audio Overhauls but it is solely down to personal preference and what you would like to hear in your Skyrim playthrough.
I agree with IcyVenomGaming, but I would also like to add that it is a good idea to have UHDAP as a base to cover other audio that Audio Overhaul and Immersive Sounds don't.
To this day I've yet to find a better, richer sounding audio overhaul for outdoor environments. The quality on most of these is phenomenal, and I really only disable Easter eggs and flies. The attention to detail is very much underrated as well, as the author went out of their way to make flickers (a species of woodpecker) sing in the evenings, just as they do in real life, and hearing it in Skyrim as the trees bask in their golden evening glow is honestly more immersive to me than anything else. Hands down. I also vividly recall the first time I heard the call of red-winged blackbirds beside the lake near Riften. This audio overhaul deserves the to be in every load order, if only for The Wilds portion alone. I've used it for years and will always come back.
EDIT: I was mistaken regarding the specific bird sounds, as I believe now that these are included with the base game.

I am using SoS Version 2.1 with skyrimSE Version 1179 GoG Edition.
Can anyone help??
Thank you in advance

I have a question about global Music, Audio and Sounds overhaul mods. Which is better of all?
- Audio Overhaul for Skyrim SE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
- Immersive Sounds - Compendium at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
- Sounds of Skyrim Complete SE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
- Unofficial High Definition Audio Project at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
- SSE High Quality Voices at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
And what about compabilities? I know, what some of them can overlop another one and some of them already have much patches on each other, but I want to use only one (or two, maximum) to playing without over-scripting from BSA archives and GPU troubles in some areas.
Thanks.
You said you only want to use two of those mods (which are all fantastic by the way).
It is solely your choice and decision on what audio or audios you wish to use in your Skyrim game.
My personal preferences are these: Audio Overhaul For Skyrim SE paired with: Immersive Sounds - Compendium and: Audio Overhaul - Immersive Sounds Integration [AOS - ISC Compatibility Patch] with that compatibility patch installed both mods will work flawlessly together.
There is nothing wrong with those other Audio Overhauls but it is solely down to personal preference and what you would like to hear in your Skyrim playthrough.
All the best for your future Skyrim Modding!
Load Order:
UHDAP
Audio Overhaul
Immersive Sounds
Audio Overhaul - Immersive Sounds Integration Patch
Still I take into account the need for UHDAP as a base.
Happy new year!
