although i dont recommend installing it if you use ENB, the new updated version for it is paywalled on his patreon and the current version is reportedly very busted by many.
I honestly would not know where to start on that... I use 1.5.97 so I guess it might be an AE or GOG thing...? I'll try to look into this when I get a chance.
First of all, just recently got into Skyrim modding and this is my first post. I adore what you are willing to make here and it works super great in my Steam Deck!
Second and my only complaint/question, is there a way to make the outlines a little thicker? I managed to achieve that by also checking the BilateralComic shader, but then some strange blue artifact appear depending on the camera movement. Maybe it is as simple as editing the ini file?
Easiest and least problematic was would just be to open the ReShade menu up in-game, open up the "anime" shader, and there should be an option for the outline size.
ohhh, got it! Mine wasn't showing the option to change the shader settings as it was in performance mode, but I managed to get it working! Thank you so much, I'm using your preset with just the outline changed to 3 instead of 2!
I know with some cell shade presets, there are issues with fading scenes within the game. (you see the outline only). Have you ever ran across that? Or is it not present in this preset?
I get flickering trees/foliage when standing still, any ideas why? I'm not super confident in my understanding of AA, I'm assuming I should disable it in the skyrim launcher, but should I then be enabling it in Nvidia Control Panel?
If you use ENB, you need to disable TAA from the Skyrim launcher and let ENB handle anything AA related. (This I can confirm works) If you don't use ENB and you are still getting the flickering, you should disable TAA from the launcher and then enable AA for skyrim in your Nvidia settings. (If this doesn't work, you could be having any number of other issues) If you use Community Shaders or Skyrim Upscaler and you are getting the flickering, I'm so sorry I have no idea how to fix anything related to those...
It's hard for me to test/confirm the second situation personally because as long as I don't have ENB enabled, there are no cases where I get the jittering
Awesome work! This looks great with Knjs's Borderlands texture pack.
I was wondering if you had any suggestions for me--I play in 21 by 9 (3440x1440) and when I move the camera, the tree/grass outlines flicker. I've disabled AA and tried tweaking the ReShade settings to no avail. When I switch to 1920x1080, it goes away (but the game looks stretched and wonky).
This is frustrating because when the camera is stationary, the game looks incredible (no flickering whatsoever). I would really like to do a playthrough with this setup but the flickering is really annoying.
(EDIT)
To anyone who encounters a similar issue: I disabled TAA as well, and enabled AA for Skyrim exclusively through Nvidia settings, which resolved the issue!
I know this is a bit of a weird request, but is it possible to only have the outline on only the living actors? Like the player, npcs, creatures/monsters, but not the terrain and plants? I'm asking because I saw a screen shot on LL, and the author has given out the enb preset but it's for oldrim only.

Regardless of if you can help or not, thank you for the preset in the first place!
As for my preset though, the short answer is pretty much just "No I can't do that" :(
