Hey all, there appear to be some weird things going on with this mod, but I won't leave them just in the bug section if someone comes here looking for a solution:
The main problem that most people (including myself) have with this mod is that when falling, the character doesn't appear to gain a burst of speed, but instead, creates an invisible platform that seems beneath the player. This should be the platform that boosts the player forward (if you use the Air Dash power on the ground, you DO get a boost forward, think Mega Man X) however, the speed boost doesn't appear to activate. The hatred glitch mentioned below can be solved in Xedit using magic effect changes.
My belief is that the platform needs to be created simultaneously in line with the forward-movement boost. That way, the movement can be done both while jumping with the upward momentum and fallingwith the downward momentum (the way the mod seems to work right now).
Little reply to my previous post, while I'm still unable to find how to solve the glitch that breaks this mod in-specific, the mod Magical Jumping is probably going to be your best bet in terms of getting a working air dash in-game. It also contains some other incredibly cool additions and works with Smooth Random Jumping Animations. Once again, I love the idea behind this mod, but until the author finds some kind of way to fix this I'd suggest using this alternative.
Automatically added as power. Behaves like a shout with a very short cd. Doesnt seem to trigger shout cd. It damages npcs so using it in town is a no-no. Works on 1.6.1170
This mod works with Skyrim VR, and VRIK! <3 this made my whole year of skyrim modding! well done! been looking for something like this for a long time. is there a way to edit the distance you dash?
How are they console players if they're playing on PC? weird kbm elitism even extends to skyrim modding it seems
I recommend this PC mod for all the silly console players anyway. Does require this mod but has configurable keybinds for controller in the files. I personally use LB for TK dodge so if you want to bind it to that so you dodge on ground and dash midair, open up AirDash.json in SKSE plugins and change 'gamepadkeys' to 274 (or whichever code corresponds to your desired button):
266 DPAD_UP 267 DPAD_DOWN 268 DPAD_LEFT 269 DPAD_RIGHT 270 START 271 BACK 272 LEFT_THUMB 273 RIGHT_THUMB 274 LEFT_SHOULDER 275 RIGHT_SHOULDER 276 A 277 B 278 X 279 Y 280 LT 281 RT
