General Follower Framework Issues (Humanoid Vampire Lord)
If you run into a situation where Serana cannot revert back to a human. Open the console and select Serana. Type " setrace vlrnnordseranarace " and hit enter. This should revert her back and resolve the issue.
If you run into a situation where Valerica cannot revert back to a human. Open the console and select Valerica. Type " setrace vlrnnordvalericarace " and hit enter. This should revert her back and resolve the issue.
Most follower frameworks refresh's the Vampire Lord NPC's under certain conditions (cell load,....) Their wings may disappear due to this. If you have the activation patch, then you may simply talk to them and their wings may come back. (Sometimes you have to revert form and retransform) If you don't have the activation patch, then you will need to revert form and talk to them. (This will revert them back to human form and once you transform again the issue should be resolved)
How to exclude NPC's from Racial Skin Variance:
Note that you need to select a Racial Skin Variance option in VLrn Pack 01 if you have it installed, unless the option doesn't appear for you.
Affected NPC's:
DLC1Harkon DLC1Serana DLC1Valerica DLC1HarkonCombat DLC1HarkonCombatMagic DLC1HarkonCombatMelee ----------------------------------------------------- Open the RSV_DISTR.ini in VLrn Pack 01 and add the relevant NPC's to the following line:
My mod uses the human skeleton and the human body meshes, so if someone were to convert animations to support the Vampire Lord race, then that may be possible.
The only existing custom animations are built for the Vanilla monster form and HVL.
You can have a look at these animations: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/66696
actually, the HVL Bats Power Fix that you linked to in your install instructions also has another optional file for female anims in VL form using Dynamic Animation Replacer (DAR). Might want to add that as an option for other users. I just tried it and it works :)
So..what does this mod do if, I have no desire to use humanoid vl form, am using Vampire Lord overhaul(texture mod) and sacrosanct? Does this fix vanilla bugs like the transformation getting stuck whenever there's script bloat?
No, it doesn't fix the transformation if you have save bloat. The vanilla features are restricted but you can:
- Activate objects in Vampire Lord form
- Access the spell and inventory menu.
- Add or remove powers or spells to the Vampire Lord favorite list.
- add the flight hotkey toggle to the Vanilla Vampire lord if you have Animated Wings Ultimate installed.
- control the type of armor the player or npcs would wear(royal or vanilla)[with or without the cape]
Most or all of these features can be found in individual mods uploaded on this site.
This Mod is more beneficial for those who want a Humanoid Vampire Lord. If you want all vampire lord forms to remain as a Vanilla Vampire lord, then you just need to choose full Vanilla. There is no fixes added by this Mod.
Having a weird issue where I try to activate the wings, but it immediately disables them again. I have the humanoid VL active and Full Vanilla disabled, animated wings Ultimate is installed and enabled, both VLrn 1 and 2 plus all mods needed for them, and the extra Tracking Spell patch if needed. Any help would be appreciated
Check out this video: https://youtu.be/4lfeKWjwUWU
You can only select a pair of wings once either for the pc or npc. So as explained in the video, you will have to disable the currently selected wings, before you can choose a new one. Note that you also need to set the player form in the mcm to HVL, or else the player wings toggle will automatically disable.
Sadly, this didn't help, I've tried what was in the video and still a no go, it still auto disables. Knowing my luck, it may be a compatibility issue from one of my other 50 of so other mods causing it
It's possible that you don't have all the requirements. Check that you have them all and that you have the ones that match your skyrim version.
When you used debug to message box, if it didn't output anything or it just output as disabled/none even with some toggles enabled, then it's likely a requirement issue.
It's also possible that the save became broken. If this issue only presented after trying to set the outfit in the mcm, then this would cause the script to hang. The outfit revision update is a correction that prevents the issue from happening after installed, but saves that already has the problem can only be resolved after opening resAver and purging all my plugins found in the plugin lite folder, then save the modified save and reconfigure the MCM. It is recommended to reset the mod in the debug section after performing a purge.
Did you install the update file VLrn Tracking Spell Revision Final? Did you install the additional requirements: Spell Perk Item Distributer and Dylbills Papyrus Functions?
Is Serana near you? Do you also have the requirements listed in the description page under the requirements option?
If you are in VL form and reload the game, then you should have the invisibility for a couple of seconds, depending on performance. Once "VLrn is Ready" is shown as a notification upon game reload, then the invisibility should resolve. You can see that the wings are invisible in this video upon game reload, but after a few seconds they become visible.
Install the new tracking spell update, then load the game and open the VLrn mcm once and then your invisibility should resolve after a couple seconds.
The issue persisted in your case, because you never installed the previous tracking spell update 6.1.11a. Thus a condition wasn't being fulfilled and the tracking spell wouldn't invoke. Although if you met any of the royal NPCs, your invisibility would have resolved. These issues have now been addressed in the new update and hopefully resolved.
I just updated everything after 6 months of not playing Skyrim and I'm having a weird issue. My VLrn patch 03 ESP is dependent on a VLrn patch 00 file that I don't actually have.
Thanks for reporting the issue, download the final revision.
What I did to the previous revision:
Due to adding the remove function to the spell, resulted in SPID being unable to distribute the spell on future saves. So I removed the function and added more conditions to stop the spamming.
If you are in VL form and reload the game, then you should have the invisibility for a couple of seconds, depending on performance.
Opening and closing the VLrn MCM will now definitely resolve invisibility issues on Armors in my patches.
I thought I'd note that if you notice that you're body's skin reverts to vanilla/default load all of this mods.esps after NPC replacers and Vampire overhaul. I don't know if this is an issue that persists across everything. I did notice it was an issue I was running into using UBE with Sacrosact and Trueblood Serana intermingled with the .esps from this mod.
You can only choose a single wing for the NPCs or PC. Hence you may only select 2 wings in total on the wings page. One for the PC and one for the NPC.
Due to the above restrictions, you will need to disable the currently selected wing, before you can choose another one. If you are unsure of which wing you chose, then you can select the Dump info to messagebox option in the debug section. This will tell you what wing you have selected for the PC or NPC.
I'm tearing my hair out, here. If I use VLRN pack one, Harkon is headless and naked. If I use packs 1 and 2, he's headless and wearing Royal Armor, but my character flips under the floor when in Vampire Lord form in melee mode. Yes, my character model actually inverts and the model is running around under the floor.
Either way, Harkon has no head and I have no idea how to fix this. I've tried various combinations of packs 1 through 3 and nothing seems to work. What do I do?? I'm tired of staring at Harkon's dong!
- Your character can be a Humanoid Vampire Lord or Vanilla Vampire Lord.
- NPCs may become headless if they were replaced by another mod and you set them to Humanoid Vampire Lord in the MCM. With pack 01 only, it is recommended to set the NPCs to Vanilla Vampire Lord in the MCM.
When you install pack 02( pack 01 is required):
- Now NPC's may be humanoid vampire lords, if they were patched by pack 02. Set the respective NPCs in the MCM.
I assume that you configured the MCM after installing the packs.
If you have done the above and Harkon is still headless, then have you sorted the plugins according to the instructions listed on the description page?
If so, try the console command "unequipall" on Harkon and tell me if he becomes invisible.
In regards to the melee mode issue, it sound like an animation related issue and is not something caused by my mod.
I appreciate the response. I have about 50 different animation mods, so it's very possible that one of them is causing this. Some kind of unexpected interaction going on there, probably. I hadn't considered that.
You can install this mod file. (you can also install other applicable custom animations from this modpage) This mod requires Open Animation Replacer. [The Humanoid Vampire Lords mod is not required and is not recommended to be installed with my mod, as it may cause conflicts. If loaded lower in your list it may resolve your animation issues.

Patch 00 is a standard plugin that should load in all instances on the new pack 01s.
If it's not showing up in your mod manager, then perhaps the fomod is bugged or you are installing an older version of pack 01.
Hello, please. Can you make a patch for this Serana? Thank you.

I hope to create a patch for this Serana mod, thank you.
I have already made a request on the forum. thank you.
