About this mod

All-inclusive .esp file which changes only weight of items as they were defined in official modules and DLCs.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Why this mod? Because there is a Survival mode:

  • Enemies become powerful and no longer limit their magical abilities.
  • You get tired, get hungry, cold. Especially if you're wet, sick or is hit by appropriate magic.
  • Food items in survival mode gain additional effect to replenish hunger (permanent stamina damage). Food stops giving instant heal.
  • Drinks stop to be alchemical potions and become food items.

Without Hunger replenishing Dovahkiin will die. Most weight-altering mods remove those. The mods, that do not, are dependant on USSEP and that breaks Survival in its own creative and malicious way. Did you ever wonder where all that ebony, silver and orichalcum ore veins went? Right, they were replaced by iron. It would take you a real-life day to reach that rump crease of Skyrim they were left in.

Reducing inventory management gives more time to consider combat or  options to venture further away. As we don't have reliable saddlebags and  followers are nerfed even worse than PC, I wanted a mod that would sets weight to 0 for following items:

  • Potions
  • Ingredients, food and alchemical
  • Food
  • Books (only basic set, some journals , quest books and books from CC quest might unaffected).
  • Crafting materials, ores, pelts, gems, etc.
  • Dwemer metal meltable scrap
  • Hearthfire building materials

Made for Skyrim AE, 1.6.640.

Requires all DLC and certain CK items from AE installed.
  • Dragonborn
  • Dawnguard
  • Hearthfire
  • AE, CC Survival (obviously), Rising Dead, Curios, Altar, Puzzle Dungeon and few others.

If I missed something, either I missed something or these items are from different CCs.

Pros:

  • Doesn't break CC Survival mode by taking bread away from Dovahkiin :P
  • Doesn't use USSEP (for those who hate it). Vendors sell what makes sense to sell. Rest you can get from farms, including your farm. For free.
  • One .esp instead of Salmo's dozen.

Cons:

  • Unrealistic. Your little bag of holding got hard time to accommodate your needs.
  • Encompasses all little patches in one. You need  Anniversary Edition for this one.
  • Doesn't use USSEP (for those who like it).
  • Doesn't touch clutter, arrows, quest items, etc. If you want be a packrat, call Scritch.

If you want to use USSEP, load it before this and lose ability to buy stuff from innkeepers which was added by that mod. Load it after and you will gain some weight.

Feel free to use SSEdit to remove or rebalance offending parts. E.g. you can get it here:  https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/164
