Version 4.1.1
MINOR VERSION CHANGES
v4.1.1 Hotfix: corrects metadata from installer
v4.0.0 General ============================================================= After some short consideration, the chimney placements were moved for many of the farmhouses (mainly vanilla). The new location has the chimneys better configured from the placement of the interior chimney (best approximation). This change ends up with the benefit of more appropriately placed chimneys for the various farmhouses. All other objects surrounding the chimneys were re-evaluated for clipping.
New Riften-style chimney assets were added to better match where the interior Riften fireplace (RTFireplace01) is used. These assets use the old style meshes from v3, which matches the style of RTFireplace01 better. Currently only used at the Abandoned Shack.
Other changes include: - Added navcut boxes around chimneys that could interfere with NPC pathing - Forwarded USSEP edits - Removed 1 ITM
MCM ================================================================= - Added support for The Great City of Dawnstar - Added support for The Great City of Dragon Bridge - Added support for Goldenhills Plantation (Creation Club/Skyrim AE) - Added support for 'Legendary Cities - Tes Arena - Skyrim Frontier Fortress' - Fixed support for 'Moon and Star'
Patches ============================================================= Beyond Reach - Removed because they are providing their own chimneys Wyrmstooth - Added chimneys to Stonehollow farmhouses

Version 4.0.0
MAJOR VERSION CHANGES
General ============================================ The jump in versioning was done for a couple reasons. The first was to signify that it now supports everything the LE build of the mod supports (v3.2). The second (v4) was to signify further development of the mod by providing support for additional mods that the LE build doesn't, as well as, new 3D mesh assets and a new Mod Configuration Menu (MCM).
MCM ================================================ Version 4 comes with a new MCM. As development of the mod continues, the amount of plugins to support various mods has already gotten a bit out of control. The solution is the MCM. It maximizes compatibility by allowing users to toggle the chimneys within 24 individual, vanilla towns.
In addition the toggling of the vanilla villages, most of the supported mods have also been moved to the MCM; eliminating the need for their plugins. Also, the following new mods are now supported in the MCM for version 4: - Arthmoor's Dawnstar - Arthmoor's Falkreath - Arthmoor's Whistling Mine - Aurora Village SE - ETaC SSE - Inns and Taverns - Keld-Nar - Oakwood - Settlements Expanded
The remaining mod support for chimneys remain as plugin-only due to either the way the chimneys must be tied into their associated mods or because they're housed within the mod's own custom worldspaces. All future mod support will be provided via the MCM as the first option, before resorting to an additional plugin.
Plugins ============================================ The main plugin for the mod has been flagged a master (ESM). This was done for two reasons: 1. The remaining add-on plugins now require it as a master because they are pulling the chimneys records from it. 2. The plugin only contains new static records, the records to support the MCM, and vanilla worldspace records; necessary to add the chimneys to the farmhouses. These worldspace records should **always** be overwritten by other mods. Therefore, forcing it to load high in the load order only makes sense.
This change means the main plugin is always loaded in the correct position for all users. It also makes it easier for other authors to make their own addons by simply adding the main plugin as a master and placing the chimney objects using the CK.
Additionally, all merged plugins have been removed. Merging from this point on will be considered a user-side task. The reason for this is because we ended up spending more time creating and up-keeping the merged plugins than we did on actual development. Excluding them going forward allows us to focus on development, rather than spending massive amounts of time on things that users should be doing themselves. However, the introduction of the MCM massively reduced the amount of plugins, therefore merging should be a far easier task, when desired.
New Addons ========================================= Support has been added for the following mods: - The Fall of Granite Hill - Helgen Reborn - Wyrmstooth SSE
Assets ============================================ - Removed Parallax meshes. Parallax is currently not supported on Skyrim SE. - Removed Original meshes. - Removed Thinner meshes. - Removed Clay stacks meshes.
- New 3D meshes! The new chimney meshes have built in geometry for the stones they are made of; creating a chimney that actually looks like it's built of stones. This is very similar to the "Skyrim 3D Stone Walls" and "Real 3D Walls" mods. They are very optimized and shouldn't cause any performance loss. This addresses the "lego block" look of the previous meshes (looking at you, cadmus999 ^_^).
The new meshes still use the farmhouse stonewall textures; matching them to any farmhouse texture installed. Fair warning...they may not work with all texture replacements. They are mapped to vanilla textures so as long as the replacement doesn't deviate to far from vanilla, they should look as intended.
The old meshes have been removed due of the design change of the new meshes. The old chimneys where actually 3 individual objects (base of the chimney, column of the chimney, topper) and a vanilla smoke effect, which were all stacked together to create a single chimney. One or two column objects were used to change the height of the chimney. The new meshes are all one piece that comes in two height variants and two style variants. The snowy chimneys also now have a snow pile on the top to simulate snow accumulation. Due to this change, the old meshes could no longer be easily supported alongside the new meshes.
Huge shout out to SparrowPrince, who created the new meshes for all of you! Give him some kudos!
Installers ============================================ - Updated the folder structure to reflect a proper BAIN structure. - Redesigned the FOMOD, again, to reflect the changes above. - Removed the Wizard until it can be updated. (I hate those things ~Tech)
Version 3.0.2
===== General =====
> Updated archive with WB Wizard support and new banner image.
---Added wizard support for Wyre Bash users.
---Nothing else changed so no need to update, if the mod it's already installed.
---Credit to Mertz over at AFK Mods for the wizard.
Version 3.0
===== General =====
> Main plugin master status removed
--- I have decided to remove the master flag from the main plugin. There's really no reason for it to be there beside ease of mod creation
> New merge plugin available
--- I have created a merged plugin for those users who are installing all of the extra files. Use this to save a several of plugins slots.
> FOMOD
--- I have revamped the FOMOD installer to be more intuitive to the user's active plugin list. The installer will automatically select certain options based on the active mods in your load order.
--- The merged plugin options in the installer are no longer selectable unless the user has the required master plugins already installed. This is because if users accidentally install one of these merged plugins without having all the masters, they will CTD. This is me preventing support requests from misinformed users.
> Version
--- The version of the mod as been set to v3.0. This is due to the mod now fully supporting all SSE ported mods which the original version did, in addition to, Dragon Bridge and Helarchen Creek.
--- Version scheme from this point out will be: Major.Minor.Hotfix
Major = new or edited assets such as new meshes or a change to the current meshes.
Minor = new mods being supported.
Hotfix = any correction to the current version which doesn't add support for new mods.
===== New Lands =====
> Falskaar
--- Falskaar has been re-added to the list of able patches. Thanks goes out to Astakos, again, for helping with this one.
===== New Villages =====
> Moon and Star
--- Little Vivec from the Moon and Star mod has been re-added to the list of available patches.
> Helarchen Creek
--- Arthmoor's new village mod, Helarchen Creek, has been added to the list of available patches.
.
Version 2.4.1
===== Arthmoor Village Expansions =====
> Updated merged plugin
--- The merged plugin has been updated to not use injected records. Nothing else has changed. Big thanks to Astakos for providing the updated plugin.
NOTE:
I will use Mator's Merge Plugin Standalone in the future for merging the patches. It currently has issues with WB, which is what I use for SSE. I will work around this for the time being.
Version 2.4
===== Arthmoor Village Expansions =====
> Re-added support Arthmoor's village expansion mods.
--- Re-added all previously existing chimneys.
--- Add support for Dragon Bridge.
--- Created a new merged plugin. Players who use all of Arthmoor's expansion mods can use the merged plugin to save several plugin slots.
I skipped a few versions because I added all of these patches at once. Next I will be working all the new villages support.
Version 2.1
===== General =====
> Converted the main FarmhouseChimneys.esp plugin to a master file.
--- This was done to prevent having to inject the statics into Update.esm.
--- As a result of the master conversion, compatibility has been increased for the base mod and less updating will be required.
===== Extra Mods Patches =====
> Created initial patch for Cutting Room Floor.
--- Re-added all previously existing chimneys for CRF farmhouses.
--- Added missing chimney to Talib's house at Stonehills.
> Created initial patch for Alternate Start - Live Another Life.
--- Re-added previously existing chimney for Shoal's Rest.
> Created a merged patch for CRF and LAL.
--- Use this patch if you use both Cutting Room Floor and Alternate Start to save a plugin slot.
Version 2.0
===== General =====
> File ported to SSE
--- Ran meshes through NIF Optimizer.
--- Forwarded changes from vanilla and Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch
--- Resaved the plugin using SSE CK.
===== Note =====
This is currently only a port for vanilla Skyrim. Unfortunately, all of the added towns and extra mods where broken beyond saving and will have to be rebuilt over time. This is why I have back-versioned the mod to version 2.0. As I re-add the patches which are available in the original mod, I will increase the version until we're sitting back at version 2.8.
Version 1.0USSEP
Initial release
Provided separately so USSEP isn't a requirement, this removes the chimney at the Abandoned Shack added by the Unofficial Skyrim SE Patch; which conflicts with Farmhouse Chimneys added chimney.
