Walkthrough and Troubleshooting <- Please read this first if you run into any trouble (warning: it's full of spoilers). If this can help you, then I can spend more of my time working on updates. But if it doesn't help you, then please don't hesitate to come to the help channel in the discord; it's absolutely OK -I want to help.
6/14/24: Version 1.12 is about tiny fixes and the introduction of a new model for Naenra lovingly crafted as debut for new mod artist ShifuYaku. No changes to the ESP means all translations to 1.11 are still valid and don't need to be updated.
6/5/23: Version 1.11 fixes another bug introduced in 1.09 that made her duplicate during the "Light Battle". Sorry guys, the mod is big enough that adding features like this has cascade effects -I'm just one guy :)
5/26/23: Version 1.10 fixes a bug introduced in 1.09 that made her return to you even when you had set her to wait. It also improves the way she takes over bodies, and adds a small new feature to the "Herald" ending.
5/17/23: Version 1.09 fixes a bug introduced in 1.08 that prevented progress in "Assault on Umbriel" quest. My apologies. It also limits hoverboard to non-combat, so that you can once again do sprint attacks, and fixes a number of smaller items mostly having to do with compatibility with other mods.
5/10/23: Version 1.08 changes the power attacks of Daumbra (both while wielded and solo) to fancy and very powerful and stamina-costly versions. It also fixes a number of tough compatibility issues.
5/4/23: Version 1.07 adds a neat feature: Daumbra will now ride her sword whenever you ride your horse, and she'll keep up with you at speed. This version also increases compatibility with mods that change the armors of vanilla NPCs, and fixes an issue for VR where player characters had one wrong animation.
4/16/23: Version 1.03 increases the quest priority to make it harder for other mods to override AI packages of NPCs here. Remember to sort this last in the load order.
4/14/23: Version 1.02 removes Dyndolod files that were causing issues to Dyndolod users, and makes it so that pickpocketing quest items off certain NPCs is handled more gracefully.
4/13/23: Version 1.01 fixes an issue with the MCO patch that was inadvertently using the wrong folder (and throwing a warning message on Vortex).
4/13/23: Launched version 1.0! Thank you all for your support.
If you're curious what this is all about, here's the first of a series of videos about Chapter II. No videos on Chapter III yet, but maybe soon?
Don't forget the Skeever patch, if you use Skeever (and if you don't, why not? He's awesome!)
Hey everyone, Caleb here! I'm the voice for Sorald, Thornir, and like a million other people XD I just wanted to say how incredibly nice a lot of the comments have been. It was truly my pleasure to put my best foot forward, and Fable was amazing to work for <3 I hope you all have as much fun with the story, as I did getting to pour my heart into it <3
To be honest... the only performance I cared about was Sorald. Skeever, my friend, we miss you so much. I hope you heard it from the ether and you were proud of what I did. See ya in Sovngarde brother.
This was an amazing VO project I've had the pleasure to be apart of! Thank you so much Fable and everyone involved on the project. And you all who enjoy and give feedback and share your experiences and endorse the mod! You guys are amazing and keep modding!
Everyone, this is really special: during beta-testing, one of the members of the QA team, Vint, stood out to me by how thoughtful his reflections were and how insightful his understanding of the various character motivations, the hidden themes and events implied in the story -everything. It gave me tremendous fuel to keep coding and fixing bugs in the final stretch of development.
Eventually I learned that he uses a mod that allows him to take notes as he plays, and he had been keeping a journal of his character, Elyssa, as she progressed through Chapters I, II and III. I expected the journal to be more or less a collection of post-it notes, but I was so pleasantly surprised to find something of truly novel quality, and amazingly poignant, heartfelt and introspective.
I am, then, inviting you all to a very special treat. Once you finish the mod yourself, read the Journal of Elyssa, a Breton orphan who found herself in an intense relationship with Daumbra, and experienced all of Chapters I, II and III (plus several vanilla quests along the way) in an incredibly cinematic way.
Love the little side story of the character Thornir and his sister Lami. Really changes your perspectives on the consequences of your actions and gives you that [You took everything from me!] [I don't even know who you are.] kind of vibe, like Thanos!
Lol, the idea is that he is on his own quest for which you are the Final Boss :) If you let him live, you'll see how his story progresses alongside yours and you'll see the resolution of his arc at the very end, right before you see yours -and the whole thing has compare-and-contrast tones to it :)
Hi, I just wanted to know, is this mod still being worked on? The description page mentions a planned epilogue and increased reactivity with vanilla quests and mod companions (SDA and Umbra banter would be interesting lol)
I may add the epilogue after I finish writing my RPG book, but I wouldn't commit to a date yet. I'd love to collaborate with SDA; the ball is in SDA's author's court.
I'm at the end, I spent like over an hour finding the memories and old dude from early chapter 3, but for some reason I only have two endings available, kill Umbra or join her. What the heck happened to the other two endings? Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong?
Yes, I remember our chat on discord -the console commands setstage and getstage didn't work at all for you, which is a first in my years of knowing Skyrim. Something must be really out of place with your setup if those basic console commands won't work. Best of luck.
Thank you very much for the mod,After I unlock body management and wear my body through dialog, the original body worn gear disappears and I become naked, is this a bug? Or is it just the way it is?
I'm not sure I understand, it sounds like when Daumbra summons a body via dialogue it appears naked, but when you summon it via the Lesser Power the armor is fine. This is odd, since both methods use the exact same spell and script. The only recommendation I can think of is to make sure you're using the latest version, and see if any of your mods manages outfits. Outfits in Skyrim are different from items: they are a list of gear that doesn't show up in the NPC's inventory. My mod should be turning that list blank, so that all items are transferred and kept in the NPC and the NPC wears them. Best of luck, this is not an issue I've seen before.
I take it if we use BFCO instead of MCO we can just use the convertor tool? By the I mean we choose the MCO patch and then use the MCO to BFCO convertor to make the animations BFCO compatible.
Sorry, I can't help with that as I use neither of those mods. But a lot of people in the discord use them; drop by and someone should be able to chime in.
It's all good. I wasn't even initially aware there would be an MCO patch in the FOMOD. Maybe it was in the description and I just glanced over that portion when reading. Anway, I just went ahead and did a conversion.

Without further ado, enjoy: The Journal of Elyssa, by Vint.
