I try a few diff versions but am having no luck. I use community shaders and dyndolod (i have not selected 3d vardenfell plume in fomod). i have no other mods affecting the mountain I dont think and mo2 doesent indicate a conflict.
I got it to work by teleporting back to raven rock one time and havent gotten it again since. I understand this isnprolly LO problem of my own i just am lost.
EDIT: it eventually started working. mabye my game just had to do its thing for a bit on a new save.
Thanks for this amazing Mod, but I am facing a problem where from certain locations ex. Solitude, Winterhold the Plume is not visible ( After dyndolod ) but when Plume on the Edge of the Monitor (Left or Right) it shows up normally ; looking right at it then its invisible. Do you know what could be reason this is happening? I am suspecting its sth to do with Fade angles.
I have no idea why this happens, maybe some settings in the ini, maybe a fog that is not applied in the shape of a sphere/circle around the player but in a strange way that Bethesda came up with. Maybe it's just the range of drawing objects by the game engine?
Heya! It looks great and I get no flicker but unfortunately it no longer lines up with the volcano. Stand on the wall in raven rock to see what I mean. Did everyone see the flicker? Could it have been people using mist or fog mods that overlapped your cone?
Would an enb light floating within the base of the cone produce the same effect of glowing (for enb users)? It wouldn't z fight if it was a light.
I love the idea so much, I will try and make it an enb light on your old mesh and see what that does.
Sorry about that! I had to go to sleep :) Let's see if this works. It DOES look great, super menacing and mean! Until the sun came up and then I got a chuckle.
For the record, I'm using enhanced rocks and mountains. It edits mountain meshes like MM, but I don't think it edits the volcano. I only show a conflict with dyndolod when I use this mod. Let me try disabling it, and I'll edit this with the results.
Ah! Ok. No, the mesh wasn't in the wrong location before I installed the HD mesh. I'll try a different flavor in the fomod. Also unloading worldspace transitions. it shouldn't be the problem, but it was mentioned before by another poster.
Update: The mesh is properly placed as seen from atop the College of Winterhold.
as an update: It is only out of position when seen from DLC2 worldspace. it looks fine everywhere else. Nothing is overriding it according to MO2, so I really don't know whats going on because I am not sure how this is even possible!
Early in a new LO build I had the same issue. For me it was World Space Transitions that caused the same issue as seen in the link with plume off to the right of the volcano opening. Turing off WST solved the problem for me.
This volcano has always been bothering me. Thanks for this because it's something I've been looking for and typing in volcano never brought anything up on nexus. Saw this mod in someone's stream and I immediately had to come here and get it. Thanks!
I love this mod. It's such a drastic improvement over the original ash cloud. I just have one minor gripe. The speed of the animation of the clouds is simply too fast. Clouds that big, pluming into the sky for kilometers wouldn't be moving that fast from such a distance. It just looks a little unrealistic to see them moving from the mountain that quickly. If it could be set to half/quarter speed it would be perfect.
Either way, like I said, still a huge improvement from the vanilla cloud. Endorsed in any case :)
This placed after Dyndolod will replace 3d mesh from Dyndold with 2d so you must decide what you like more. Personal preference but imo this looks much better despite being 2d. Check for example https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/43863 to have idea how it compare to Dyndolod mesh.

hmm... I don't see anything unusual

Oops the volcano dropped something!
with dyndolod unchecked, since i had it checked still. You can see where I am, just on top of the Raven Rock wall. Nothing is overwriting it, so I am stumped.
cancel that, I can't go double check because i replaced it with the new version. I would be happy to go check if you unarchived it though :)

Here is how it looks before running xLODGen:
Here is how it looks after:
Ha, ha, I guess I have to drop the volcano in the name
Why not More dramatic Red Mountain Volcano Plume
Thanks!
