I just have a small problem which is that i failed the quest ^^ due to me not catching up to nivenoor after breaking out of prison. If possible can u tell me the id of quest stage and quest so that i can "console" my way out of this mess. Really dont wanna restart savefile cus i been spending months on the current one and the last save is like 5 hrs behind. Thanks!
NVM! For those who make the same silly mistake that i did.
First load a previous save so u can find nirenoor ref id. Then in current save open console, use "setobjectivecompleted ksws04MainQuest (stage id) 1" for stage 600 and 610 (rescue and find painting) if u can additemmenu the painting to your inventory after those command.
Second "prid (nirenoor ref id)" press Enter then "moveto player" to teleport her to your location. Finally, console command "setstage ksws04MainQuest 700" to initate the next objective which is speak with nirenoor. (U need to be fast cus she will run away after u teleport her) Done and fixed!!
Thank you! Your console commands seem to have worked. My last save was before I did Alftand, Blackreach and a few other quests too, and I'd much rather have failed this mod than do all them again. You aren't the only one not to realise we needed haste in this mod, when all quests in the base game can be got around to as and when we feel like it, except perhaps Blood on the Ice, if we want to avoid another murder from occuring. Thank you again.
It seems like a really good mod from what I've seen so far, but given that almost no quests or quest stages in the base game are on a time limit, or anything similar to a time limit, it'd have been useful to have a really clear warning that they're literally moving across the map to get to the border. By the time I realised, I had no way to get to them without the quest failing as soon as I approach them. My last save from before they began waiting at the border is from several hours of gameplay ago, before I did that prison quest and then a couple of other quests, and all later saves make the quest fail as soon as I approach them.
So is there a way to reset their journey so I can do the quest using console commands?
And is the quest supposed to fail as I approach the Pale Pass, no matter how long they've been waiting there?

Given how many people are struggling with this, I don't think it's as idiot proof as you think, and even if it is, you might want to think about making it more accessible to idiots, or people who struggle to get information out of text for any reason, by putting the words, in caps, 'QUICKLY BECAUSE THEY WILL LEAVE THE MAP IF YOU GIVE THEM ENOUGH TIME' into the spoiler, and the words, again in caps, 'THERE IS A PART OF THIS THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE QUICKLY IN ORDER NOT TO FAIL THE QUEST, read details below' in the top of the description.
It'd mean fewer people bother you with these comments, if nothing else.
I've encountered a strange bug. After repeated testing, I found that every time I try to open the portal in Thalmor prison, or more precisely, interact with the button (the correct password is: S, C, U, T, T, L, E.), whether successful or not, it will trigger a serious bug. My enemies' AI is broken. They no longer see the protagonist as an enemy, and will not attack the protagonist or followers. The protagonist cannot lock on to them, but can attack them without eliciting a counterattack. Followers will actively attack them, and will also not provoke a counterattack. This is not necessarily a problem with this mod. It's not the first time I've encountered this bug. I have encountered it before, but the probability is very low. But this button can trigger this bug 100% of the time in my game. If someone can give me some clues, I would be very grateful.
This is a bug that occasionally occurs in other situations, but the probability is relatively small, so I usually reload the game and ignore it. The button in your mod helps me trigger this bug reliably, so I spent a few hours comparing and testing and finally solved it(perhaps). Finally I found out that it was a language input method mod, which I also found strange. But anyway, I was able to get out of prison.
Hello nice mod overall however I cant figure Phrase V out. I found an eight an ten tow times the number one and another eight. But it seems that I miss an number. Can anyone help me?
About the VR bug preventing players from typing in the dialogue box to escape the prison, the only way I managed to complete the mission was by exiting the cage using console commands.
I used "tcl" on the cage to clip out, then continued normally—killing the soldiers, retrieving my items, and collecting quest objects (like keys and notes).
After that, "SetStage ksws04MainQuest 600" to complete the "escape" objective and trigger the next quest (Rescue Nirenoore).
Teleported to Nirenoore with player.moveto fe028807 (her RefID), then proceeded as usual: killing the 3 Thalmor agents and assisting her.
I'm unsure if there's an easier workaround, but this was the only method that worked for me.
I did, I picked up the painting from the corpse and it did not give a quest signal. There was no check in the quest log for the painting. Dropping the painting is impossible.
If it helps, I am playing the Standard LoreRim modlist.
1. The third thalmor seemed to have been 'in the area doing nothing'. Walking up aggro's her. Killing her resulted in the quest progressing. It was just simple jank considering the cause of death of the other two was a stormcloak patrol and not the player which meant the last thalmor was not looking for the player.
Same issue here, stuck at the same point. No painting in inventory of dead thalmor, and she was just giving normal dialogue options. had to use the same console to fix. : (

Had to debug it, and got the fix with a console command:
SetStage ksws04MainQuest 700
She should talk afterwards.

2. you should post the entire sqv output
