Thanks for your interest in my work! Check out my Discord Server if you want to keep up with what I'm doing next. I also have a Patreon if you'd like to follow me and support me there.
Also, I'd like to give a huge shoutout to my friend DeltaRider. We consider this mod a spiritual successor to his awesome mod Forceful Tongue, which was the first mod to use CSF to add a Dragonborn Shout tree. Working with Delta for the past two years has been a blast, and I am very lucky to have him as a coauthor. If you'd like, please consider supporting his Patreon.
Yes, I feel like the mod page is really clear about this. It's May 2023; it's time to stop expecting new mods for what is now a very old version of the game. That said, my permissions are open and always will be, if someone would like to do whatever work is needed to backport it. Also, you should actually be able to run the mod without CSF and get the Shouts + the Meditations just fine. Should even work relatively well with the Adamant Shout perks in Speech. I will pin this for visibility if people need clarification.
Also, just FYI, some of my upcoming mods will have unique DLLs and will be for 1.6+ as well.
No, I don’t really have any interest in using this feature myself (though it’s very cool and Parapets is a wizard). The Dragonborn perk tree uses its own perks and only unlocks based on story completion, so I think it should stay separate (like Vampire and Werewolf).
Zombiekilla05 if you happen to see this, at the High Hrothgar Courtyard you will find a small shrine behind the whirlwind sprint gate. SimonMagus could you let them know that that isn't a bug?
Is there a way to increase the amount of dragons you need to kill in order to max out the Shout tree? The description says you need 50, and I wanted to double that since my playthroughs tend to be really long. Thanks.
So I have an issue, and I'm wondering if it's this (or Adamant). I have zero cooldowns for all my Shouts (they even show up as 0,0,0 in the magic menu). This popped up after I took the final upgrade in the Speech Tree that put me at 50% cooldown (Stormcrown). At first I thought it was cool and fun, but that dissipated rather quickly. Now I'm a literal god, but in a boring way. I've got all the Perks from the Stormcrown mod and the Speech (Shout) perks for the Adamant mod, and I am at 100% cooldown. Is reaching zero cooldown the intent of combining these two mods, and does the mean no cooldown, or is this some weird glitch? Or potentially something else unrelated to this. Either way, thanks. And great mods.
Ah... just looked and noticed that. I'll make sure to give that a go on my next playthrough. No cooldown shouts is awesome... but it's a bit much. Thanks.
Same problem, I do not have Adamant and I use the compatibility patch for my mods, I made a custom patch and fix the conflicts, but no conflict with the reload time, I do not know what is going on.
Is said "lesser power - meditate" different than the lesser power "rest and meditate"? I ask because I'm trained by the Greybeards and am recognized as dragonborn but "Rest and Meditate doesn't pull up a menu for Shouts Skills.
So, I have a weird issue but I don't know if it's this mod or something else.
I am level 75 at this point and I've just recently unlocked the meditation upgrade for the shouts. I upgraded Unrelenting Force, it can pretty much one-shot kill everything. The issue I am having is that while it does do damage, it won't throw or ragdoll enemies. They'll drop dead where they were standing. Any way to change that? I don't know if it matters but I have the Shout Apart Skeletons and Shout Them Apart mods too. They all worked perfectly fine until I upgraded the shout with meditation.
To anyone here from the Gates of Sovngarde collection, if you're having difficulties trying to get the Meditation power, there's a stone behind High Hrothgar past the gate you Whirlwind Sprint through. It looks like those message stones you pass on your way up the mountain.
I also don't have meditate either, so I progressed to Parthurnaax... I have the ability to meditate on fully learned words of power so I know the mod is working. I just can't access the skill tree because I never learned Meditate.. Ugh. Frustrating lol.
Alright so it turns out, when you walk out into the courtyard from the castle, turn left and walk to the cliff. There will be a big rock you can interact with. The meditation of words of power is actually a vanilla feature
1). InstallAddress Library for SKSE Plugins -> All in one (1.6.X) - do not replace/uninstall the 1.5.X version, use them both simultaneously, the packages contain different files that won't overlap.
2). InstallCustom Skills Framework for 1.5.97 from the Optional Files section, this is the standalone backported version. - do not install the version 3+ one from the Main Files, it is not needed and will not work with pre-AE versions of the game.
3). Install Stormcrown - A Shout Overhaul v1.1.16 - do not install v1.1.17, as you can see in the Changelogs section, from this version onward the authors have implemented changes that will strictly require Custom Skills Framework version 3+ .
To test if everything is in order, inside the game, toggle the console and enter the following command: player.addspell fe023806 , this will provide the meditation power, simply use it like any other power/shout and the perk menu should pop up.
I can guarantee this works on a new game, under normal circumstances (I've assumed you already have SKSE installed, etc). I have no clue what behavior to expect if you install mid-playthrough, or if other mods could potentially screw something up.
I downgraded my Stormcrown version mid-playthrough(pre meditation with parthuunax) and downloaded the 1.6.x address library on top of my 1.5.x one and everything immediately worked. It even correctly gave me the amount of perk points I was supposed to have and I could apply them on the spot, this solution single-handedly saved my current playthrough after trying to figure out what went wrong and for that I thank you.

kind of odd never seen this kind of thing from the uncapper before. It must be some type of debug tool built into it though.
