The images above do not show ALL of the available eyes from the mod, just a tiny selection of them. There are over 40 eye options for most of the races and setting up images for them all was just not feasible right now.
Image submission is wide open, no verification needed, so please do send in your images of your favorite eyes in game.

As always, all thanks goes to Jenna for creating this mod in the first place, I'm just making it available again with her blessing.
Giving these eyes to NPCs
I wrote up a tutorial detailing out how to use xEdit or the Creation Kit to give these eyes to new NPCs.
You can use these steps to give new eyes to any NPC from any file or the base game. This will particularly come in handy for people who may want to use Serana's eyes from this mod with any other mod that also edits her appearance. The article is hosted on the classic Skyrim page but works fine for SSE.
Was working for me fine for a long time, but then I ran a LOOT re-order and now no matter where I put it, having the Improved Eyes esp active on new game causes CTD as soon as the prisoner loads in. Anyone have any ideas on what messed up or how I could fix it? Doesn't seem to be a problem for other mods like Eyes of Beauty, those can be installed without issue.
.1170 - Mod causes some eyes to go missing where you only see an empty eye socket in (scary!). Seems to affect mostly, if not all, blind or heterochromia eyes.
Maybe just a user error on my side but the eye mod seems to have baked into one of my test character save file, even after already disabling the mod in MO2.
I do have some other eye mods running but this is the first one that's given me issues.
Why this mod changes the skin tone of serana's face, when I turn off the mod she has empty eyesockets, when I turn it on her face is black, help please
I also ran into an issue with this mod removing the "playable" flag from the majority of the vanilla eye colors. It can be fixed with SSEEdit but another way I found is to download this mod by Herowynne: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22173 (changes all vanilla eye colors to be useable by all races in racemenu). And, make sure it is loaded after the Improved Eyes Skyrim .esp files in your load order.
Some great eye colours, but I should give a warning - it affects NPC's eyes. Nirya and Faralda both had blue and purple human-looking eyes. I also got a grey face bug on my character while using one of these eyes.
I did NOT do any of the "giving NPC's New Eyes" stuff, it just did it on its own. I'm also using Cosmic Eyes SE Solo and VanillaEyeColorsUnlocked
I cant even think about a reason why i should stop working... it has nothing to do with SKSE, which is the only thing that breaks with almost every update... And yes, it works. How i know, cause im using it right now with the newest version on Steam.

This is what we call "user error".
