The mod has 2 versions. Simply chose the one you prefer.
ESL VERSION : It is an ESL flagged plugin, and it does not contain ANY NPC EDIT. This is a lightweiht plugin that will nly affect player characters elves, easier to handle and compatible with multiple NNPC replacers that are available on nexus.
NPC VERSION : It's not an ESL, and contains NPC edits, and facegen.
Please Make Sure that you only install one version, and if you decide to swap, before installing the other, UNINSTALL THE PREVIOUS VERSION OF THE MOD. The plugins have different names, to avoid issues between ESL and normal plugins.
Yes, sorry. I was wondering about compatibility with Dawnguard and the vampire "races". There seems to be some entries that have not been carried over. As can be seen in this screenshot. I was just wondering if they should be carried over and what the consequences are if they are or aren't carried over:
I love this mod and although I don't play elven characters myself, I used it to make elven npcs look better in the game. I've discovered (after much mod testing) that this mod will cause my imperial character (vanilla head) to have facial hair clipping issues when used with Expressive Facegen Morphs SE. Deactivated either one solves the clipping issue, but when I deactivate EFM SE my imperial character's face is affected in a undesired way (imo) versus deactivating EEO SE and maintaining my desired pc racemenu build but losing the benefits of improving the elven npcs.
*Just wanted others to know, because I was pulling out my hair trying to figure out why my character was having facial hair clipping issues.
Well the beard tri files are shared among all races. So you can only have one mod affecting the beards of NPCs.
EEO edits the male elves headmeshs, therefore editing also their beards to avoid gaps. The other mod you use edits the phonemes stoed inside the same file.
Since you do not play as an elf, you can use bth mods but you must give priority to the facegen mod. This way your male player character elves will ave beard gaps, but the imperial male NPCS will use the desired beard, and as long as you do not pay as a male elf, you'll never see this part.
I've cured many a Dark Face issue, but Rinori Imaryn from Interesting NPC's has me stumped. No mod order conflicts appear for her in SSEedit, but when I deactivate my Ethereal Elven Overhaul plugin the problem vanishes, and when I turn the .esp back on again the problem returns.
Is there a patch for these two mods that I need, or something else I must do to resolve it? This NPC also has vampirism, so could Dawnguard be part of the issue?
The absence of logical interaction between these two mods leads me to anticipate that a third mod is to blame, but I'm struggling to pinpoint the culprit. I'd hoped someone here knew more so I could short-cut my way to the solution.
I'll keep working on it and post any discoveries here in case my findings should prove useful to anyone else.
I am unable to move ethereal_elven_overhaul.esp above 3DNPC.esp to allow Interesting NPC's to overwrite your plugin, which I think would resolve the issue. I tried to force a metadata rule in LOOT for this load order change, but these two plugins seem to be locked to ensure your plugin 'wins.' LOOT gave me the following warning:
Is there a reason for this? Why can't Interesting NPC's load after Ethereal Elven Overhaul?
The reason is that 3dnpc is marked as Masterfile, so it's considered as a defacto ESM. ESM always come before ESPs, it's hardcoed.
3dnpc is a mod that modifies existing NPCs, so there are conflicts with usig that mod and nPC overhauls that require edits made with a plugin. You'll have to manually patch these mods if you want to use them together.
You could delete the affected NPCs from EEO, and avoid conflict that way, or the other way around, but it'd require a bbit ofthinkering and exporting the head from 3dnpc, which i doubt the mod manager wil allow you to do.
To put it simply, to have the new edits dont to the NPCs, you cannot have edits made to their faces. You should check the 3dnpc compatibility section for mre information.
So if I were to attempt to remove Rinori Imaryn from Ethereal Elven Overhaul, how would I go about that in the Creation Kit? Or could it be done in SSEEdit?
Go down to the name of the NPC, in the NPC category of the ESP, and delete it- I believe theres a search function to easily find the NPC by name.
Right Click and delete. You may also ant to delete facegen files in the Archive, but since it was being overwritten, then you probably dont need to do that.
Unfortunately, this cannot work because EEO only lists vanilla actors. As Rinori Imaryn is a 3DNPC actor she has no listing in your mod, which brings us back to my initial difficulty - no conflict exists in SSEEdit for this actor, so I don't know what change to make in EEO to correct her dark face issue. Though EEO does not change Rinori Imaryn specifically, it does make changes to both Dunmer and Vampires, of which she is both. So, short of further guidance, I'll conduct my further experiments with your mod in these areas.
Good evening, so I've been trying to figure out what the cause of the issue is I've been having in Skyrim. Now here is the oddity I've been facing: I've been having vampire attacks in my game from time to time in certain intervals. Now the issue isn't the vampire attacks but the NPC's in the attacks; I've noticed some Elven-based characters will have black faces. Now I boiled it down to a few mods (since it only touched elves). When I disbaled EEO the black face seemed to vanish—but the elves came out looking horrible. I was wondering if there was a fix. I'm trying to figure it out in SSSEdit since taking it seems to be a FaceGen issue with the mesh
I'm having an issue with a few NPCs, specifically only female elves having purple noses? But I haven't exactly seen it with any other NPCs other than like two. I'm assuming it's a missing texture or something along those lines. I've tried to re-install the Women of Skyrim, EEO, I've tried to restart Skyrim, move EEO to a higher priority and I removed "Beards" by Hvergelmir, and its associated files if that's relevant.
I think perhaps "Vanilla hair remake NPCs" is the culprit? But it isn't exactly higher poly, but it's a higher poly than the vanilla heads. I'll gladly remove it if I find a good substitute.

Do I need to do what you told someone prior? Because I do use "Vanilla hair remake NPCs"
"You just need to re export the npcs faces using my EEO esp, and with Vanilla hairs mod installed. just hit ctrl+4 in CK on the NPCS you want to export."
If I need to do that, do you know where I could find a tutorial? I'm not entirely sure about any of this since I'm still very new to modding. I'm just kind of stuck right now, and have no idea what to do.
Yes, he hair mod, conflicts wih NPC rplacers. you need to generate the NPC faes. A tutoril i suppose you can find one in youtube. Skylaskyrim has many. but they are usually more ind epth with looks customization. you may want to googgle utorials for exporting NPC facegen.
The mod actually works with Bijin AIO, you need to load the mod and its plugin before Bijin AIO. Make sure EEO is right before Bijin AIO. Hope it helps :)
Okay, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here, but all of my female elf NPCs are bald. I'm almost certain the culprit is a hair mod, but I've disabled them and still run into this problem. I reinstalled them after that and it still is happening. Here's my load order.
Note: I only have one of the JUMP emps enabled. The 150 one, specifically.
it's a conflict with an NPC mod, however i cannot possibly know the name of each and every npc replacer mod that exists on this website. Check for conflits in SSEDIT.
Make sure you know this mod is not compatible with highpoly heads,a nd it must be used with vanilla head as explained in description.
Besides the ESP\plugin, you'll also need to make sure you uninstall the NPC facegen files, or the mod may still cause conflicts. but first you need to identify the culprit in SSEDIT

Can you help me understand?
However, for some reason the characters were (much) uglier with SSE, i have no idea why.
I ended up using Expressive Facegen Morphs SE mod and it was much better. Still, a pity that i couldn't use EEO again as it's a very good mod...
