About this mod

Distributes outfits from Apachii Divine Elegance Store to NPCs by replacing vanilla outfits using Spell Perk Item Distributor. ESL flagged.

A mod to assign more than 50 new outfits to many NPCs throughout Skyrim. The outfits are distributed using SPID, so no NPC records are changed, eliminating the need for patches for apperance overhauls.

I've tried to keep everything as lore friendly as possible, but the mod is configurable to your tastes. There is a mixture of full outfits from Apachii Divine Elegance and what I call 'Vanilla+' outfits, for example farm clothes but with added items from Apachii DE such as furs, gloves, boots and jewellery.

While I was recently testing out a number of mods that add or overhaul towns and cities, I came across quite a number of NPCs that were added by said mods that had vanilla outfits. Because I use SPID to distribute outfits to NPCs in my game, they really stood out, so I've designed this mod primarily for use with mods that add extra NPCs to the game, such as new towns or inns and similar.

The mod works by replacing vanilla outfits with outfits I've created, rather than the hand-picked approach I took in Apachii Divine Elegance for NPCs. For example if a female NPC starts the game with the outfit called FarmClothesOutfit02, she will be assigned the outfit I've called Brigida Green.

By doing it as a replacer, this mod will give a lot of mod-added NPCs a new outfit that they would not normally get.Think of this mod as a base to build on, then use other SPID outfit mods to be more targeted. This mod will fill in the gaps so that more NPCs will get new outfits.

See the article for the outfit record names and what this mod replaces them with. I've tried to keep outfits like for like so NPCs wearing fine clothes will get fancier outfits.

The mod mostly concentrates on clothing but it does have some random armour assignments too. There are also two outfits specifically for female vampires which are assigned to NPCs in the vampire faction.

Installation
Works best on a new game but can be used on a existing save too. Simply install like you would any other mod using your favourite mod manager, or to install manually just unpack it and drop it in your Skyrim data folder. As the mod uses SPID which is an SKSE plug-in, it should be safe to uninstall, but you would need to use the 'resetinventory' command on any affected NPCs.

Compatibility
Should be compatible with anything, obviously if other mods change the same NPC outfits they may conflict. It should work with other Apachii Divine Elegance SPID mods, whichever mod loads last alphabetically will assign the outfit you prefer to an NPC. I've deliberately named the DISTR.ini file to begin with the letter a so that other SPID mods will overwrite it.

For example - Ysolda starts the game with the outfit called FarmClothesOutfit04 in Creation Kit. This mod sees that she's got that outfit and replaces it with the Brigida Violet outfit. You might have another mod that gives Ysolda a different outfit by using her name or Editor ID so that would overwrite the outfit from this mod. If you want her to keep the Brigida outfit then you'd have to remove her from the DISTR file of the other mod

Notes
Please bear in mind that all this mod does is distribute outfits from another mod, any issues regarding clipping etc will need to be addressed using the outfit mod page.

The correct way to give an NPC an outfit is to assign them an outfit in Creation Kit. Some mod authors don't do this and just put items of clothing in their inventory. The NPC will still wear the clothes but my mod will not recognise that they have an outfit (OTFT record) so they will not change their outfit.

If you see naked NPCs please report this on the SPID page.

Configuration
Hopefully most users will be happy with the mod as it is, but you can change certain things to your liking. If there's an outfit you don't want to be distributed, just open the DISTR.ini file and delete the line.

For example if you don't want the Nilfgaard A outfit on males, find this -

; Male Fine Clothes 01 to Nilfgaard A

Outfit = 0x80A~DE Replacer SPID.esp|NONE|FineClothesOutfit01|NONE|M|NONE|100

And delete it. Or if you want the outfit to have a different random percent chance to be distributed, change the 100 to something else.

FAQ
What's the difference between this and your other Apachii Divine Elegance SPID mod? The other mod targets NPCs by name and takes into account their location, job, status etc. This mod just replaces outfits without any other considerations and is mostly for mods that add extra NPCs

Can you remove the hats? There aren't many hats in this mod but if you want to remove them (or anything), open this mod in SSEEDIT, find the relevant outfit record and delete the hat from the record, then save.

Why haven't you included 'x' outfit?
I use the 3BA conversion for Apachii and some outfits are just broken in this conversion, so I haven't used them.
