The Heels Sound mod was, apparently, deleted. This has had the effect of breaking all sorts of stuff. Honestly, I think there should be a policy that if you opt a mod into being able to be used as a dependency, you have to commit to not deleting your mod and breaking everything that depends on it. I understand that a lot of mod authors would choose to not do that and thus reduce the number of mods available, but I would accept that as the price to pay for mod authors not being able to break other people's shit.
I stand by what I said. As things currently stand, there's nothing to prevent a mod-maker who has a very popular mod that a lot of other mods depend on from just taking all of their marbles and going home (i.e. completely removing their mod from the Internet; it's happened). The fact that one particular mod is available off-site does not change my fundamental point.
Now, do mod authors have a legal right to do that? Yes. Do they have a moral or ethical right to do that? That's debatable.
Would a mod site have a legal, moral, and ethical right to have opt-in policies to prevent that sort of thing? Absolutely. And I think that overall it would be a good thing.
Has anyone come across an issue where if you use FNIS Sexy Move SE and have the optional 360 movement mod it stop heels sound from making a sound when walking in 3rd person, but in 1st person it works...?
If I disable the mod it works in 3rd person but i'm not sure if I can fix it
I would like to add additional audio sliders to Heels Sound. I would like to be able to control the high heels sound volume independently from all other footstep sounds.
I therefore have added two new sound categories to the mod (similar to the vanilla sound categories for Footsteps and NPC Footsteps) and linked all the sound descriptors to these two new categories. The two new audio sliders indeed show up under the Skyrim audio settings.
However the sliders don't have any influence on the High Heels sounds. It's still the vanilla audio sliders which change the volume for high heels and all other footstep sounds.
Have I overlooked something? Please see SSEEdit screenshots here.
-> UPDATE: it's working. I somehow did not add all sound descriptors to the two new categories.
Also, it should be removed from the requirements list.
Thank you for this mod!
I'll come back later to endorse this, when I've tested in game. I've very complicated load order mods, so this will take some time till I organize newly added mods.

You can download it in the off-site requirements tab!

Maybe @Dreladwyn has some advice?
Make sure what you doesn't use Heels Sound blank instead of Heels Sound 1.6 SSE - AE (or for LE)
Should be like this:
Make sure, you don't use Heels Sound blank mod!
Also, it should be removed from the requirements list.
Thank you for this mod!

So many authors who do HH armor ask to set up a blank dummy mod, I don't understand that.
and use it to make something of your own
This is far better than the original annoying sound
