Wanted to do a shattered skyrim playthrough with hearthfire building enabled and tried this mod but it isn't working. Is it because it's a year old and out of date or do you cut your own logs in a different way than just going to a saw mill and cutting it like usual?
The part of Oldrim Hunterborn and Lootable Containers I miss most is being able to cut down your own trees and give Lydia some real burdens to carry, namely sawn logs, while you have a new pile of firewood to loot.
I didn't know that, but this was made for myself and Shattered Skyrim, there's no NPCs there so getting sawn logs is otherwise impossible.
Also this doesn't give you as much when you cut them. Technically you can also kill the owner and take over their mill now as they no longer have to be present. You probably get extra with high disposition as well.
It looks like you can customize the number of logs you get from using the lumber mills! There's several mods that alter the amounts you get from regular woodcutting, but everyone seems to forget/ignore the sawmills lol
The vanilla game gives you 10, this gives less and I didn't know about the disposition thing so you'd probably end up with both this and the vanilla amount if you use that system. If people want I can remove the Vanilla system and just let this take over with more customisation.
i didn't know about the vanilla thing either but looking at the bugs section in the wiki i still think this mod is useful since i always happen to head to these mills when they aren't working and i guess i never raise their disposition when i did see them. the last time i got wood from sawn logs was back in oldrim; i had assumed it was a mod this whole time.
Most if not all of the vanilla millers have the Chopping Wood favour quest, so you can just sell them a firewood to have +1 Disposition. Or there are dozens of other ways to raise disposition with popular mods.

To fix this ( in Mo2 at least ) unzip the mod archive , and copy the scripts folder into the mod folder alongside the ESP
Until the fomod is fixed, this mod is nonfunctional without this step.
EDIT:
Actually no, the script appears nonfunctional too, it dosnt register for the animation event
It has the OnAnimationvent() but dosnt register for it like
Event OnActivate()
RegisterForAnimationEvent(Playerref, "MillLogIdleReset") ;
EndEvent
Also this doesn't give you as much when you cut them. Technically you can also kill the owner and take over their mill now as they no longer have to be present. You probably get extra with high disposition as well.
