   I'd love to see if someone could make an addon for these abilities to be obtained in some lore-friendly way; otherwise, I love this mod, and god, I love being a Paladin and smiting s#*!

   I have payload interpreter and I ran Nemesis for the patch.. the animation + sound work perfectly but I don't see the light effect. I am using OAR instead of DAR but OAR page says it's backwards compatible with any DAR dependent mod. Precision is latest version 2.0.4.

   using unlevled skyrim, various bossfights, deadly dragons, lots of relationship building follower mods in an attempt to make a "baldur's rim" playthrough. Really fun so far! Using the Azure knight armor for my paladin because it looked like it was ripped out of BG3. This mod is the cherry on top

      I had same problem before install Payload Interpreter and  run the nemesis patch 
      wish it can help you :)

   For some reason, the animation worked fine for me but there is no special effect. Is Nemesis required for this?

      Yes, you need to run it for the Payload Interpreter

    Great mod!  I would love to see some alternate animations that are a little more subtle... like maybe holding the sword down and to the side to charge up the smite or maybe hold the sword straight up like Saber from the Fate Zero anime when she's charging up excalibur.
