I'm getting a "KiENBExtender.dll reported failure during loading" message whenever I launch the game. I've looked everywhere and I couldn't find a solution. Do you have any ideas?
THANK YOU SO MUCH. Your mod has SOLVED the frustrating long loading screen 'ENB compiling shaders'. Game now starts in 2mn instead of 5mn. Even though the 'enbcache' was creating shaders, it ignored them when relaunching. NOT ANYMORE thanks to ENB Extender own cache (brilliant idea). My settings: Nvidia cache: ON / Enblocal.ini: ShaderCache= TRUE
I'm getting a "initialization failed runtime exception(unable to hook GetPrivateProfileSecionA)" message. And still getting this error even though I updated Visual C++ Redistributable. Please help.
Apologies for my English. Recently, I encountered an issue where mods like Shadow Boost, Nvidia Reflex, etc., do not appear in the ENB shaders menu. This is related to the ENB Extender and Kiloader mods. If you are using them, remove them if the following mods are important to you:
Shadow Boost
Soft Shadows
Nvidia Reflex
Camera Noise
After removing Kiloader, go to the enbseries folder and delete the KiLoaderSatelliteENB.dllplugin file. After that, the mods will appear in the shaders tab.
Problem on Linux: I am trying to run the new Journals of Jyggalag 2.0 wabbajack modlist on Linux, and am having some problems that I have narrowed down to ENB Extender, which is a requirement for the Cabbage ENB it uses. Specifically, when ENB Extender is active, i can't see my character or move my camera during character creation. When I disable ENB Extender (and nothing else), I can see and create my character just fine. And when I re-enable it, *poof*! I'm invisible again!
I have updated my VC++ dlls and ENB binaries, set LinuxVersion=true in my enblocal.ini, and as far as I can tell, have everything installed correctly. I am going to try running the game without ENB Extender, and see how that works.
So, my questions are: 1) Does anyone know what might break if I use Cabbage ENB without the ENB Extender? 2) Has anyone gotten Cabbage ENB and EnbExtender to work on Linux?
Thank you for your great work on improving the ENB presentation mods and sharing them with the community.
I 2nd this question from XarisZ to be answered ... ;-)
Speculation: maybe the acronym AELAS stands for "Advanced Exterior Lighting and Skies". I found this explanation on another ENB presentation mod, but even there it doesn't say exactly what it is or does. It sounds like it could be an ENB function or option, but I'm not sure. It could be something else entirely.
It's a replacement for EVLAS. Looks like AELAS is still currently WIP but usable. Available on Kitsuune's Patreon.
AELAS has improved lighting sync with the sun and moon, with other fixes and improvements. I haven't tried it yet. I'm not aware of any ENB preset officially supporting it, yet. That will likely change once it's in a final state.
Sure would be nice to see which file I downloaded last so I can read the changelogs. But they're archived and unavailable to browse, funny thing huh : /
The following plugins couldn't be loaded or aren't compatible with the current executable: 'KiENBExtender.dll' - DLL dependency missing: KiHalloc.dll The listed plugins won't be available if you continue loading. Do you want to exit the process now?
I use Root Builder, is this the problem? Ok, it seems that it is indeed a root builder issue, I copied KiHalloc.dll to the Root folder, then there is no error popup

Support for other DirectX 11 games that are supported by ENB is planned. Stay tuned for updates regarding that
Make sure to update your Visual C++ Redistributable if the new version fails to launch
