Does this mod conflict with any mesh/texture replacers or does it just add stats?

It adds new items with altered stats that use the default meshes and textures.  So it won't conflict and will also use any replacers for meshes and textures of the default mage robes you have in your load order.

Thanks for creating this mod. I am just having a bit of difficulty creating the robes in the Forge. I first went to the Tanning Rack and made all 3 types of college robes (x10). I then went back to the Forge and tried to create the heavy steel and heavy daedric robes respectively and yet both times it was still asking for college robes. If the college robes that I can make in the Tanning rack are not the correct ones, then where do I go to make the correct college robes?

All the recipes require the standard College Robes item (internal game ID: 000D3DEA), you can try the college merchants, general merchants or a clothing vendor such as Radiant Raiment in Solitude to find them.  If you are still having issues there's always the additem route via the console using the above item code if they just aren't showing up in your game for some reason.

is will be cool to have this mod combine with the remodeled armor, when I use the remodeled armor, I can't use mage outfit for reason of no defense, so my female mage wear something is not mage to be protect!

I have several issues with this mod: 1) I have all smith perks but some unenchanted robes are not upgradeable. 2) to craft a robe i need an "academy robe" material to craft, but i can`t find it anywhere. please help

You need the correct perks as well as specific materials in your inventory to craft or upgrade the robes, otherwise the recipes will not appear.  If you have other mods that have changed the crafting perks and/or the items such as the default base line robes that are in the main game that might prevent you from being able to craft or upgrade robes.

Try looking at the merchants at the College and see what they have available when it comes to modded robes or the baseline robes you'd need for crafting as they should certainly stock both items unless you have another mod that has changed that from the default game.

Excellent MOD! That is exactly what I want! Thanks to the author!

But I found it's a bit puzzled that I could not create them in any forge. Is there anyone has the same problem ?

Do you have the proper crafting perks that correspond to the material levels listed in the description as well as some standard unenchanted college robes in your inventory? You'll need both in order to create the new robes at a forge, otherwise the recipes will not appear in the listing.

Oh and you're welcome, glad you're enjoying the mod.

As a player who favors spellswords with light armor I'd like to thank you for making this as the Well Armored Vigilants mod only adds heavy armor variants and Black Mage Armor seems more for a member of a clandestine organization. though boots, gloves, and cowls would be appreciated. kinda irked me how dragonscale pieces looked out of place with the robes

Loved this addition, excellent mod to let me have armor and look like a mage, but I notice one odd bit. When I wear these robes, equipped necklaces don't show up for some reason.

Did some swapping around, and it doesn't -look- like it's sticking out and 'covering' the necklace, but when I switch from a regular expert/master robe, to one of your 'armored' versions, the necklace vanishes.

The meshes the robes use are just standard Bethesda meshes so they shouldn't be causing any issues like you describe. Possibly a mod conflict if you have any replacers active in your load order.

After much screwing around (general details to follow), I found what was going on...it's not that yours wasn't showing, it was theirs were. (???-do-wha-???)

Did "backsteps" (turning stuff off, trying, then next, rinse/repeat) until finally I said "screw it" and did a "shut -everything- off" and loaded a DL'ed "clean, no mods" save. The basic robes seem to not be showing the necklaces, and so yours (save, turn on just AMR, reload) don't as well ('cause you use the base meshes), but the others for some reason -are- showing the necklaces when I wear them (like the Jedi/Sith mod robes, for instance).

Not sure why the basic robes aren't showing any worn necklaces, the only thing running was the USSE Patch (I wasn't going to turn that off to test, I might as well "full delete/reinstall" if I'm going to mess with that), and until I put the -other- robes in, necklaces weren't being shown, but on several of those (ie: the ones I kept installed long enough to wear with other stuff) they were, thus, thinking "yours weren't showing them".

No clue -why- as I could swear my old PS3 game showed necklaces just fine (and being PS3, it had 0 mods/edits/etc), but that's what I've found...short of a full delete/reinstall, I can't really test any farther.

The baseline meshes that this mod relies on don't show necklaces as you can see in the screenshot, other mods that make mesh edits or have custom meshes may show necklaces if that mod author made the mesh in that way. I have to say that given the PS3 can't use mods you may be remembering things wrong.

Quite possible, as it was a while ago (started playing again when I got this as a present for Christmas), still, mystery more or less solved, and rampant blasting of random bandits and what not continues.

Oddly interesting how stuff can mix/fuse/conflict with other stuff, but meh, haven't gotten to the point that I want to mess with making my own mods yet, so not that big a deal (yet) to me. I still like the Mantled Robes, and if it really bothers me not to see the necklace, I can look for a mod (or mod load order) that does that for me (the mantled ones are bulky enough it's not a big nit-pick to me to not have them show).

Reguardless, thanks for making/porting/etc'ing this for us. :-)

Hadn't considered doing those items to be honest, maybe I'll reconsider if I do an update to this mod at some point down the road.

Excellent contribution -- mages everywhere thank you! Question: do you know if this is compatible with the Ordinator destruction perk that grants a 30% damage bonus "for wearing robes and no light or heavy armor"? In other words, does the game recognize the armored robe as armor or robe?

If the perks respect the typical keyword conventions (which knowing Enai they do) then the robes will be recognized as standard armor pieces like iron or steel or what have you so the perks that require "no armor" will not be in effect with the robes equipped.

Can verify that the robes are recognized as armor. I am using Ordinator as well with "face of Death" heavy armor perk and am getting the bonus.

I really like this mod, it would make sense that any mage who is also a dragonsalyer wouldn't run around being the standard squishy mage without a shred of armour.

And I know this is a long shot, but is there any way to give the armoured robes the same appearance as the ones from Mebantiza's Opulent Outfits? Because that would make both mods absolutely perfect for my current playthrough. I guess because they're entirely new robes, Opulent Outfits just ignores them. Or would that besomething I'd have to ask over in the Opulent Outfits thread?

Good to hear you're liking the mod.

As for your question, well it could be done probably but it would require permission from that mod author as I didn't make any of those meshes. And yes the robes in this mod are entirely new records in order to avoid mod conflicts so they don't interact with the base game robes. The point here is that you want the effects of both mods in a single item so a patch would have to be made to account for that by incorporating the new meshes as the default model for the new robes.

If you want to at least run the idea past that mod author that's fine, assuming yes I'd need to get in touch with him/her to formalize the permission. If they say no, well that's it then I'm afraid. Let me know either here or via PM how things go if you proceed with the idea.
