I love it whenever Miles has civilian clothes over his costume, it just suits for some reason. So I'm really happy this mod exists. I especially love using this during the Friendly Neighborhood app missions, Thanks!
Hello! Can you make a .suit version for this because i cant seem to get the mod launcher or whatever its called to work. I would gladly apreciate, thank you
Why not both :), i believe there's versions in the movie that are both zipped and unzipped so it works. I think a version like this as well but with the spiderverse suit under it would be really cool.
A little more editing. Still heavily untextured, but I think you can see where I'm going with this. Only rendered an image of the unzipped hoodie, but it is still currently compatible with the zipped hoodie too. Not currently compatible with both new and old shorts, but I'll have to look further into that.
Good to hear you all dig it. I'm going to keep my head down on this for a little while longer, hopefully I can get some in-game shots soon enough.
@DokuPersona - There was a real clean looking Black webbing version of the sportswear outfit released yesterday and it's compatible with my green jacket too, definitely reccomend you check it out - Here For this newmodel version I'll release the regular suit first, but Ill definitely try out black webbing and if it looks good, you can bet it's getting released.
I've also got some plans to create a more cloth based suit with the spray painted logo (akin to a spider-verse IRL suit) but we'll have to see if I get enough time to work on it since it'd have to be made from scratch.
Hopefully soon (could be within the next few weeks). Had a minor mishap with a blackout and some lost progress yesterday, but I should be able to get back to where I was at. All that’s really left to do is a tiny bit more sculpting, rigging and then all the texture work.
after that it’s then onto figuring out how to get the model back in-game since the model tools don’t currently work out of the box with MM. There’s quite a bit of fiddling to get through, but I’ll figure it out.
It shouldn’t require the suit tool initially as I’d hope to just replace the model, though I know some people want it as a .suit so I’ll look into getting both working.
Since I still want people to be able to make their own custom versions of my suit once the model version is done then the .MMPC mod version will be my main focus as .suit mods don’t allow any user customisation.
just as an update on the progress of the suit (no screenshots as I’m on mobile), it looks hot, ofc, but I may work toward a ‘beta’ version release first, the reason for this being that the model import tools still haven’t been updated for MM, so it still doesn’t support Miles’ skeleton (the thing that makes the model move). This means the only way to get the model back in game is to rig it to Peter’s skeleton. The problem with this is that Miles’ skeleton is actually what handles all the physics for the outfit and if ported to Peter’s skeleton, the outfit will be fully static, as though his jacket and shorts were dipped in water and left out to freeze. The model will suffer from the “Spooderman bug” and I believe it also means that the mask won’t be removed during cutscenes, or that the head will clip through. Basically resigning the model to a free-roam and photomode position.
now it’s up to you lot whether or not I put the time aside to port this new model to Peter’s skeleton as an early release version but have it lacking the detail of physics and whatnot, or to just wait out the model tools updates, however long thay may be, to deliver the best suit mod I can.
lemme know in the replies.
TLDR; should I put more effort in to release a low quality mod sooner, or wait (for an unknown amount of time) until I can release a top quality mod?
thanks for the extensive reply. also i for one wouldnt be opposed to having a "taster" beta suit release but if it would detract your work load from the magnum opus ( or even if its just too much hassle ) not to stress about it man. peace and love brotha.
Depends on how you feel of your work, I'm someone who doesn't particularly like releasing mods that have glaring issues, such as what you've pointed out with the physics and skeleton due to a lack of a tool currently. But that comes down to a very personal feeling at the end of the day, you will have people wanting an "early access" of course, I personally wouldn't have any issue waiting for the full thing when the tool is made for you to be able to actually release what you wanted in a complete state. I can't tell you which to do at the end of the day because I'm not you, but I can tell you what I tend to do when in your position, and I usually wait, which has it's own drawbacks of course, but I'm the type of person that wants to release something at the highest quality I can.
I've decided to delay releasing this mod until the tools are available to create this to a reasonable standard. As such there hasn't been many updates to the model itself either. At the moment the tools available have too many trade-offs that I'm not comfortable with putting in the time to create a lesser version of the mod.
If it comes to it and the model tool updates are discontinued then I will likely just upload the model itself for others to import. Hopefully that isn't the case 'cause I want to be able to release a kick-ass mod, but we'll just have to wait and see.
For timescales sake; Once the model tool is updated it'll likely take around a week, max, to get the model rigged n' in-game provided nothing gets in the way.
Looks fantastic! Only thing I would change is maybe change the color on the jacket to a more blue-green like it is in spider-verse instead of just straight green. If you search for "miles spiderverse jacket" you'll see what I mean. Amazing job so far man. Super excited.
I just thought of somethin that would add onto this alreay cool looking suit mod. Some optional headphones to go around Miles's neck. It both fits his character and would look pretty cool
