    I think that i'm not the only one who waits for a mod that disables the ugly and unnecessary beam but keeps the dot.

    Do guys at GSC ever saw a damn laser pointer? How the hell did they even come up with this monstrocity of a beam?

    The laser can be turned off by a technician. You need to click on the laser cell once and it will turn gray. The laser will turn off.

      This unequips nothing. I just removed the mesh for the laser so its not being rendered?

      EDIT: double checked, and yes, you keep the stat bonus.

      I've also checked, and no, you don't keep the bonus. Here's a demonstration on what happens when you unequip laser on Saiga, as an example:
      https://imgur.com/a/1MB3hms
      You do lose the accuracy without the laser module.

      @DaPutzy The dispute here is not about your mod, but about removing the LCC with the help of a technician.

      And yes, I confirm: if a technician removes/disables the laser, this removes the laser pointer from the weapon, and you lose bonuses. It just remains purchased for this weapon and continues to affect the repair price. I checked it on the SPSA-14: I took two identical ones, installed the LCC on one, then took them in my hands alternately and saw the difference in the crosshair size. When the technician removed the LCC, the difference disappeared. Try it yourself, if you don't believe me.

      @oness you are entirely wrong, here.

    When using the flawless widescreen app to increase the horrendous weapon FOV the developers decided upon, the laser sight becomes greatly missaligned when sprinting... Do you think there is a solution for this somehow?

    If I may suggest. The laser when is turned on by a technician, should have option to switch on/off, similar like changing fire rate single or auto mode. That will better mod and not will removing laser as content from game and will universal for everyone, to have chose active or not.

    thank you for this! Other than being horribly ugly, some of the laser beams are just bugged out when moving.

      You just need to delete this line:

      //-----------------------------------------------
      //---------------------LASERS--------------------
      //-----------------------------------------------
      LaserTemplate : struct.begin {refkey=TemplateAttach}
      SID = LaserTemplate
      AttachType = EAttachType::Lasersight
      Slot = EAttachSlot::Lasersight
      bPermanent = true
      Cost = 0.0
      LaserSight : struct.begin
      MinLaserDistance = 1500
      MaxLaserDistance = 10000
      MinLaserTimeOnDrop = 5
      MaxLaserTimeOnDrop = 10
      StartSocketName = LaserSocket
      VFXPath = NiagaraSystem'/Game/_Stalker_2/VFX/Weapons/laserAim/NS_LaserAim.NS_LaserAim' <-- THIS
      struct.end
      struct.end
      RU_Laser_1 : struct.begin {refkey=LaserTemplate}
      SID = RU_Laser_1
      MeshPrototypeSID = RU_Laser_1
      struct.end
      EN_Laser_1 : struct.begin {refkey=LaserTemplate}
      SID = EN_Laser_1
      MeshPrototypeSID = EN_Laser_1
      LayerImagePriority = 4
      struct.end

      Hey, do you have any idea where this path "VFXPath = NiagaraSystem'/Game/_Stalker_2/VFX/Weapons/laserAim/NS_LaserAim.NS_LaserAim' " refers to? Or any way to unpack the file it refers to? I'm wondering if there's a way to edit the VFX itself to get rid of the laserbeam and keep the dot.
