Is it possible to decrease the beam radius? It feels like walking with a lightbulb instead of a flashlight, and having so much peripheral vision being lit is not very atmospheric either. From the vanilla S2 headlamp, I think only the length of the light should be increased (by like...a lot), and the peripheral lighting should be DEcreased. Like it was in the trilogy. Honestly the trilogy lamp is just perfect.

      +1

Maybe "Flashlight Preset(s) by iBerggman looks like its just a length increase, no brightness or overall radius

How would I go about narrowing the flashlight beam's radius? It seems too wide right now for a flashlight/headlamp.

I love this but I just noticed that dead mutants show up as either pink or yellow when I'm close and shining the flashlight on them. Bug or feature?

FWIW, I'm in the SIRCAA base now. I loaded an older save and dead mutants out in the world also show up as either pink or yellow when shining the flashlight on them within say, 20 feet or so. The color recedes the farther away you are.

Any ideas what the issue might be?

[edit] just saw a possible solution in the bugs tab. Gonna give that a shot.
[edit2] Solution(for me at least) is in the Bugs tab.

Hi, could you share your preset details ? I'm on Game Pass, and it seems we have to manually modify the flashlight variables in the  Engine.ini file, otherwise it won't work v_v

Do you need to run the mod loader command every time you launch the game?

Are you sure about the filepath ? %LOCALAPPDATA%\Stalker2\Saved\SaveGames does not exist, but C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\STEAM\SaveGames does.

Put %LOCALAPPDATA%\Stalker2\Saved\SaveGames into the search on your taskbar and hit enter, it should take you to the folder.

edit: actually I get it now, that directory doesn't exist by default, you have to make it because it's usually created by the Flashlight Customizer mod when you save out a preset

I think for a easier 'drop-in' solution there's the UE4SS flashlight shadows mod but from what I read it's far less stable (crashes) than Simple Mod Loader+Flashlight Customizer. Also not as customizable.

    Very nice. Love the offset.

[edit] There is a (minor) issue shadows on the player body - it looks like it's projecting shadows from terrain/scenery either below or above the player. Eg in the old mill, it looks like shadows of planks, as if the floor or ceiling is between the flashlight and the player legs. Not sure if this is just an issue with flashlight shadows but I never noticed this with the UE4SS flashlight shadows mod on nexus.

[edit] it looks like this isn't an issue related to this mod specifically.

To be fair I haven't tested this extensively as I've only recently started a modded playthrough, so if there's any issues I missed I likely haven't even seen them. By default I noticed that first person arms seem to be excluded from casting shadows by the flashlight unless specifically enabled with 'fl_shadows fg' which fl_ui doesn't seem to expose (command still exists in the Flashlight Customizer mod though)
