Does Lurking in the Dark work without East Scarp or is it mandatory, and if so, are there plans to make a separate mod so that he can be used without East Scarp? I love Sen, but I've had such trouble getting East Scarp to look right with my game, and I'm not really interested in those characters. I'd love to have just a stand alone Sen mod, he's great.
Heeeeey, first of all love the mod, Sen is a wonderful little glorbo, but for some reason his 6th heart event isn't triggering for me. I have 7 hearts (did try when i had only 6), I'm pretty sure its been more than 3 days since the last cut-scene, and i have been entering the deep dark, so i dont know whats going on. s i g h

Hello again! The time had come for a Stardew phase once more, and of course Sen was a must-have in my mod list despite having cut down considerably. I realized that, while we talked about the writing a bit (specifically with Skrell) you mentioned you made a few changes to his lines, but I never actually went back to see the tweaks afterwards! So obviously, the only logical course of action was to start an entirely new farm and go through the entire game, restart Sen's storyline, and bask in the bountiful free serotonin and dopamine. Having done so, I can confirm that the changes, while small, do make Skrell's acceptance more clearly begrudging, and are even more compelling for him as a character. Can't believe it took me this long to check it out, honestly.
I do have one question though, if you don't mind. I vaguely remember from my last playthrough that Lewis had unique dialogue for the ceremony while marrying Sen, but this time around it was gone. Is this a bug/conflict, was it removed, or am I just misremembering?

As for the custom marriage scene dialogue yup, Lewis is supposed to have comedic dialogue. It worked last time I checked, though I know some mods conflicted with it. Could I see your mod load?
I went over my mod list a bit ago, I backed my save up and disabled any mods that might have conflicted to no avail. I decided to just remove my mods and test the mod on it's own. After going through and reinstalling just the essentials for LitD, still the issue persisted. I think there may be a mod or two left-over from before I used a mod-manager, however, since SMAPI's console was referencing mods like Mr. Ginger which I did not re-install. So, I'm going to back-up some stuff elsewhere uninstall the game and it's folders entirely, just to be sure. I'll get back to you if it fixes or if the issue still continues. Sorry for the trouble.
Edit/Update: I'm not smart enough to figure this out, reinstalling the game did not work. Still getting the same message from SMAPI. Here's a link to the log, any help would be greatly appreciated. Typically the first time you load into your save after removing an NPC this error will fire.
It is possible the wedding stuff may be an issue on my end, I'll be sure to look into it! Perhaps an excuse to make him a fully custom wedding event as that's a thing you can do now...
That's a relief, honestly, but I wish I knew that sooner lol. Now I just have to recover and/or reinstall my mods- aaand I forgot to move my save backups... another excuse to start over! Silver linings :')

Just kidding I'm not that special, but it is kinda funny that potentially twice now a bug I experienced gives you an excuse to update something. A custom wedding sounds really interesting too! If you do go through with it, that'd be awesome, but I understand if you decide not to so no pressure. And hey, I just wanted to say I have a lot of respect for you and the effort you put into both LitD and DitR. Not to disregard all of the other aspects of mod-making (art, writing, etc.), but I got a bit into programming recently, and even though I knew it wasn't easy I was still very humbled by even just Python basics. So ye, just wanted to throw that out there real quick. Stay awesome. :3

@7thAxis - Way too late, and you likely already tested for this, but 'tis not an issue on your end! I have no idea what the problem was, but it was likely a mod conflict that somehow was tied to the save even after I wiped the mod list and loaded a backup? I cheated my way through a new save, no extra mods (save for cheats for speed) just to test for myself, and the scene played out as intended. I am still a bit confused, but at least it's beyond your control and concern. I am so very sorry for the trouble, I definitely should have taken it upon myself to do this sooner.
For future reference and a bit of help though, I know it's a bit of an ask, but could you provide me with a list of common/popular mods that could have caused the dialogue conflict? I'll have to rebuild my mod list, and I'd like to know what I might have had installed last time to avoid this time around.
The easiest way to figure it out would probably be to run "patch summary full" with the problematic mod load on the save where you had the issue and share the SMAPI log. It should say what file is patching the wedding strings. Unfortunately I wouldn't have a list of mods that might be doing that! But if it's found I might be able to fix it.
I feel like such a moron, but I finally found it just now! The conflict is with Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion. Now, the frustrating thing is that this mod was the firstone I disabled to check if there was a conflict, as I figured it was most likely the cause, but it didn't work. Why? Because it was still being loaded on that save. Start a new save while it's disabled and there are no issues, but using a save that had it enabled previously? Even if the mod is disabled or deleted now, it still loads. Massive oversight on my part, really, and again I am terribly sorry for all the trouble.
absolutely love this mod!! Especially inside this collection, makes the world so much more vibrant, i love every one of Sens dialogue lol
My only issue is that it seemed to spawn 4 Sens!!! I couldn't figure out why it was happening to no other npc so i had to do a lot of research on how to fix it and all of them were quite janky EXCEPT for Let's Move It. On the surface its a mod that lets you move ANYTHING on your farm including crops, bushes that arent moveable by default, buildings, etc, HOWEVER this mod has a special function, it lets you move npcs and farm animals AND delete them, so for any others with this issue, this is the fix! just separate all the sens, and delete all but one!
Typically to fix this you'd run "debug killNPC SenS". The duplication issue is unfortunately something on the vanilla game side that's out of my control.
I tried that but it bricked my game, sen wasnt respawning for me so i had to reload the previous day save so i had to find an alternative, no other modded npc like Nora or Leilani were doing it
