this mod is an absolute blessing and a half. now all i need is a mod that makes catching those jellies (sea/river/cave) less stressful, and i'd say i'm set for all future playthroughs. XD
The percentage is relative to vanilla monster defaults. 0.5 means you need to eradicate half as many monsters. You can raise the burden above 1.0 should you so desire.
So a setting of 1.0 has the eradication goals as exactly the same as the vanilla base game.
You can look at the monster eradication goal status list in the Adventure Guild. The status display shows the number of monsters you have killed and the goal number. The goal number is what this mod changes. So for a 0.7 setting and slimes having a vanilla goal of 1000, the goal status list would show 700 as the goal. The mod config dialog lists vanilla monster goal values.
The old versions of this mod should still be available in the file archive. 1.0.1 is the last version before the Stardew 1.6 (SMAPI 4) changes.
I've never officially supported Android and I've no way to test against Stardew on Android. I don't know if the old version(s) work on Android Stardew (SMAPI 3).
Apparently the files in the File Archive cannot be downloaded. I'm not sure what the File archive is all about if you cannot download from it. It justr seems to be a list of previous versions.
Is this compatible with the achievements? I'm using smapi trough steam, but i was going to use this mod on an ongoing save, can i reduce the limit of only the monsters i want? And if i reduce and the monsters slayed surpasses the limit, will it still give me the achievement?
You cannot have different thresholds for each specific monster. The threshold is a specific percentage alteration for all monsters.
Achievements are not affected. This mod simply changes the number of monsters required for any given slayer goal. The goal and achievements are the standard game function.
On an existing save where you have already slayed monsters and you lower the monster count to a value below your current monster slayed count the monster slayer goal reward when applicable will not suddenly trigger. That is only checked when a monster is slayed. So you will have to kill an additional monster of that type to trigger the monster slayer goal.
Thanks for the update on the mod! I have translated it into Japanese, so I would be happy if it would be added in the next update. If there are no plans to update the site for the time being, I will upload it as a translation mod so as not to inconvenience you. Translation File
Thanks for the translation. I will include it shortly. An added translation is worth an update, plus I also have a very minor feature change I have been holding to go with your translation. I allow the config dialog to be opened during gameplay. Not just a the title screen.
Now updated for Stardew 1.6. This update is a complete change in how the mod operates. This mod no longer needs to patch game code to operate. This is because the 1.6 update changed Monster goals to a data file which can be patched on load. This also means the mod should operate on any new monsters some other mod and/or the game might add in the future.

do I set the slider lower or higher?
have it set to 1.0, does this mean I’ve set it to less required monsters to kill?

Glad to see that the settings are now more convenient.
