Mod has been made obsolete by the 1.6 update, which adds books and one of them is a Queen of Sauce Cookbook which does the exact same thing as this mod. So... Congrats on your mod becoming part of the game.
Restarted day after this but for whatever reason when I bought the book. Instead of showing me all the recipes as it went through them it just gave me the message of 'I want to learn all of them now' and then nothing happened. Still don't know any of the recipes. Have tried leaving and reentering town. Still the same problem.
Its weird because I've had this installed for a few playthroughs and never had this happen before now.
I haven't touched any of the files beyond just checking to make sure it was set to appear in Year 1 after one time for some reason it got set to Year 3 somehow. But there were no edits needed so I've left it alone.
Edit: Might have found the other mod causing the problem.
Edit 2: Forgot genuinely that with the way this mod is coded it would read each as individual events. So that causes some bumping with Event Limiter. Not an issue now that I know what is going on. Only noting it here in case someone makes the same mistake and goes trying to find the fix.
Small warning, having the Cookbook in your inventory while smashing geodes with Clint has the game rescognise it as a thing to be smashed - if you do it produces an "error_item" but seems to function as normal. I also reccomend those using Event Limiter to adjust their settings if they want all the recipes in the first few days
Hey! So I purchased the book, and the cutscene with the pages came up, the next day I got about 20 mails with recipe requests but I didn't have all the recipes. I have uploaded pics here. Any ideas?
I'm sorry you got all mails at once. It shouldn't happen and I will fix it as soon as possible, but about the list of recipes, you got all the recipes from the Queen of Sauce TV show. I uploaded an image with all the recipes from this mod. (All the recipes image)
I'm making a mod for the other recipes we receive from the villagers, but this mod only covers the Queen of Sauce recipes.
Hello, I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but I'm stuck in an infinite loop of Leah's mail about cave carrots... I don't know what's causing this issue. Please help !
EDIT: It turns out I had FeTK (and Instant Tool Delivery Service) installed which caused the infinite mail glitch! After deleting those two my game works fine now :)! Now all I have to do is find out how to get the cookbook :]
Great mod! I saw someone in the comments area who wanted to submit a Chinese translation, but I couldn't wait until it was released, so I completed the translation myself! Do you still need it?
I love that this mod gives you quests to make each vanilla recipe in game, it seems, based on hearts or time. But it's a huge pain in the behind to install in year three with lots of hearts with everybody, and have twenty letters to get through with quests on quests on quests attached to each one. I wish there was an option for the quests to come in a little slower... maybe in twos and threes since the install of the mod instead of dumping twenty or more in my quest journal at once in long-term saves.
What I'm saying is: I love this mod, I love it so much and appreciate it's existence.... but install it early, or before you have a ton of hearts with villagers. I'm not sure which condition triggers the letter flood. Otherwise you're going to be filtering through a whole lot of delivery quests all at once, and that can get overwhelming very fast.
I got what you meant and I agree. I installed it in my three years save, and wow! So many mail, so many quests. I'm going to try to make the quests optional. But I still don't know how to work around all the mail - and I tried, believe me!
I'm very happy you loved my mod, and I'm really sorry for the overflowed journal log. And, so you know, the condition for the receiving a mail is to know the associated recipe.
How odd! I will look at the code and try to figure it out!
I can't find the problem. Did you saved the game after having read the cookbook? - If you didn't save, can you reinstall the mod and try again? - If you did save, tell me so I can help you with the missing recipe.
so, i'm kind of new to the modding community, how do you learn all the recipes? I've tried right clicking and left clicking whilst holding both the exclusive version and the other version separately. is there something that's supposed to happen when i right click or left click it? thanks!
To learn the recipes first you have to read all the mails about the recipes you know and the mail announcing the book it's on Pierre's Store. Then, buy the book and exit Pierre's store. (which you already did) When you enter town, the event will start. If you already know everything, it will only acknowledge the book and the wishful think of wanting to cook all the recipes. If you have recipes to learn, they will be presented.
Sadly I don't know how to make the book work with a right click or a left click, so I worked with the event after exiting the store. If you didn't see anything getting out of the store, tell me so I can figure what is wrong....
Also, get the version 1.4. It fixes some minor bugs.
okay so let me see if I understand this. if I know all recipes, and i exit out of pierre's store, will it play the dialogue that goes "I want to know all the recipes"?
I'm missing atleast 5-6 recipes and it still triggered the dialogue. was it supposed to happen? sorry i'm kinda lost rn...
if you know all recipes, when you exit pierre's store, will it play the dialogue - "I can't wait to see the recipes I don't know yet...", but as you know them all it will show another dialogue - "So many great recipes... I must cook them all!".
If you missed one or more recipes, you will see the first dialogue, the pages of the book with the recipes and the second dialogue.

I know I can't undo the chain of mails you received, but it is fixed (for good, I hope!).
Thank you for giving this mod a try. When I finish the other one I'll let you know.

I know it's a silly question, but do you have the Mail Framework Mod installed?
