I would advise new people who find this mod to not download it anymore.
As most modders are probably aware, Json Assets (and many other frameworks) has been deprecated in 1.6 since every mod pretty much runs using Content Patcher now. I did start on converting everything but honestly, this mod started as a passion project and as much as I still love Genshin Impact, I lost the motivation to update this mod (even though I have a few assets for Fontaine and even Natlan plants, I'd have to rework all the code from scratch and honestly,,, I prefer art over code haha).
I've also been working on my Master's degree and other IRL things which have taken up a lot of my time. Maybe in the future I'll make small mods like the AT Wriothesley statue, but an update for Genshin Valley is...probably not very likely.
I'm really happy a lot of people downloaded and enjoyed my mod though. I'm still in awe that my silly pixels got the interest of a lot of you haha. Good luck in your future modding endeavors :)
FOR SVE USERS!!! Please read the README file in the mod's folder when updating. I have included the original and the SVE compat content files in the same folder, so you can switch between them as you wish. the README gives instructions for it :)
Also keep in mind, that the shop appears under grass for some reason (not sure how to fix it), so if you can't see the shop try clearing grass from that area first ^v^
Hellos i wanted to ask iif you could take the most recent 1.6.8 mod version out of archive because i accidentally updated and it won't load in anymore. updating would break my save and game so if you could please take that one version out
This mod isn't working for me, I'm not sure why. I have everything installed. I can't talk to them and I can't buy anything. Is it maybe because I'm using the sve file? json assets isn't updated for 1.6 so idk if that is why
Hello prerona2411, how are you? Sorry for the inconvenience, but I would like to know if I could translate your mod? If so, can I post the translation on nexus? Or would you prefer me to send you the file? Thank you for the amazing mod!
I'm going to be honest, I'd like to... but I'm not sure when I'd be able to. I've been pretty busy with Master's studies since last year, and since all the frameworks this mod required (json assets, shop tile framework etc.) got 1.6 updates, I probably won't update Genshin Valley unless something is really broken. Hope you understand!
I don't understand why it doesn't work for you anymore. The shop shows up just fine in my 1.6 save, and I can buy all the seeds too.
Only the crop mods that add seeds to vanilla shops like Pierre, Marnie etc. don't work, because those shops have been re-named in 1.6. However, you can still spawn in the seeds via CJB item spawner, and then plant them. You just can't buy the seeds in the vanilla shops.
Indeed, as mimiko said, Genshin Valley works fine in 1.6, i tested it myself to make sure as well <3 all my seeds are sold at the custom shop in the Forest, so you'll be able to buy and grow them no problem.
Check if you have downloaded all required mods for this one, and if they are all up to date. At the moment, the essential mods, as I call them, are updated almost daily, so maybe you need to update some, or download the required ones for this mod.
Soo I started making a mod with Teyvat food/recipes to practice my pixel art. I'm only using vanilla ingredients, but with your permission I would love to make an extra pack that includes your crops (or a collab where the twins sell some of the food?) please let me know!
Also, I don't mean to step on your toes or anything - if you want to add recipes then don't let this stop you, I'm happy to rename or something so we don't have duplicates.
I'm also looking forward to your Fontaine crops! Happy Holidays and good luck with the studying.
Hello! Sorry for the kinda late reply >_< but of course feel free to use my crops as ingredients for your recipes! Just remember to credit my mod whenever you release yours haha.
I do want to add recipes, but again the date for it is pretty hazy since: 1) studies bleh and 2) I've never tried drawing food pixelart so for all I know it could look absolutely horrendous XD So feel free to add whatever recipes you want. I can't wait to see which ones you pick from Genshin <3
Happy Holidays to you too, and thank you for the well wishes!
Edit: Another issue: While I found it, I can't talk to Aether. On Sundays I get the note about Taroumaru when I interact, but the next day was nothing.
That's odd, have you tried clicking on the shop tile and around it? STF (the framework which lets the shop exist) acts a bit weird about the hitbox for custom shops. If you're trying to talk to Aether/Lumine directly, that won't work since they're not actual NPCs
Hi! I'm always so happy to see people enjoying my mod eeeee >v< As for recipes, if you mean the food kind, I've been compiling a small list in my free time of the dishes that could be made with the genshin crops and vanilla items in Stardew Valley. I'm honestly not sure when I'll start making them though, I also have Fontaine crops to add in, but I've been insanely busy with my studies these days. Hopefully I should be able to work on them soon ^^;
That's what I meant, yes! And I'm fine with waiting, I'm just happy it's in the plans. Good luck with your studies!!
I would also be happy to help but I don't know much about mod-making, so not sure what I could contribute. I could help compile a list, at least? The lack of proper meat in SDV might be a challenge :D
Amazing Mod! Is there a fully configured file for MYC? I only see two crops configured in the provided config, and it's uncertain regarding how are the other crops supposed to be named if I'm to configure them myself.
I'm not fully sure what you mean, there isn't any config for MYC. HarvestRules is the main file where you put in crops that would yield things other than the main crop product (in vanilla game, Sunflowers are the best example, since they also give sunflower seeds on harvest). The other crops in my mods arent supposed to give an additional product on harvest, that's why they're not in the file. If you want to edit that file and add more crops, I'd suggest looking up a tutorial for MYC because it would be pretty lengthy to explain it here ^^;
Oh i mean that i want to configure the other crops myself for harvestrules.json but I don't know how to follow up with the item names. Like, should they be capital letters, small letters etc the format for them and the item names themselves.
Hmm depends on the item, is it a modded item or a vanilla item? If it's vanilla, I think you need the item code (which you can find by googling), but if it's a modded item, you have to navigate to that item's file and copy it's exact name (it can have capital or small letters, really depends on the mod author lmao).
I'd suggest you don't fully trust my advice though. Are you on the offical SDV discord server? It has a few channels where you can get much better help for these kinds of things, just in case haha
Understood, though I'm talking about items from this mod that I wanna configure in harvestrules.json. If other crops besides the default aren't intended to give multi harvest, that's understandable though I'd appreciate them being able to give multi harvest to be consistent with other mods in my mod list. Thanks for replying!
Do any of these crops have recipes? Even if those recipes aren't from the game? I've been growing a LOT of Anemo Dandelions in the hope that you can use kegs to make them into Dandelion Wine, but I just now am wondering if that is the case or not. Really hope you can make Dandelion Wine for Venti
Thanks so much for making this mod either way though! It's probably my favorite Stardew Valley mod
No, there aren't any recipes...yet. They're on my to-do list for future updates for this mod, but I start my Master's studies soon so I can't give a set date for when the updates might happen. I have a pretty big food list with ingredient substitutions written down hehe.
As for Dandelion Wine, it's kind of tricky. Since it's a flower, it can't be made into wine according to Stardew Valley code (only fruit can be turned into wine). But if you'd really like to make some, here's a fairly simple solution: - Navigate to [JA] Genshin Valley -> Objects -> Anemo Dandelion - open the object.json file with notepad or any simple editing software - you'll see the 4th line says "Category": "Flower". Just change "Flower" to "Fruit". - At the end of the file you'll also see a couple of context tags, where you can change "flower_item" to "fruit_item"
This should, in theory, allow you to make wine with the dandelions.
Hope it works for you, and I'm really happy you enjoy my mod, expect Fontaine crops sometime in the future haha :D
Thank you so much for this!!! Recipes on a to-do list is very good news and I totally get that your studies are coming up and can't work too much on the mod. Instead of just telling me Dandelion Wine isn't possible because it is a flower, you actually gave me an easy solution for making it! Thank you for the amazing and swift response, you are the best. Venti finally gets his wine~

"MaxIncreasePerFarmLevel": 0,
that's ALL you have to edit, then save the file and that should fix the issue."ExtraChance": 0.0,
I'm a bit busy with uni at the moment as finals are close but i'll try to push out a hotfix update when possible!

Which is Expanded Preconditions Utility and sure enough, STF lists that as a prereq. *facepalm @ self*
