Is this mod still maintained? Yep. The original author is no longer active, but I'm keeping it compatible with game/SMAPI updates and fixing critical issues. This mod has a "supported mods" priority for other improvements.

I really like this mod, but it is an easy way to trivialize the economy. Would you be able to add an optional config setting that lets you limit it to once per day or something like that?
I hope you, sir (the developer), can add a new optional setting for players to choose, with the option being: "I want to catch each legendary fish only once per year or per season," rather than catching them infinitely every season. This would make the game more enjoyable.

hello is there any plans to put a feature of changing the percentage chance of these legendary fishes to be caught? like let's say having the fishies with a less than 3% chance hook rate so that it's not as overpowered in terms of making money
the mod is near perfect but would be even better if the percentage chance to hook was tuneable cause in the summer i'd fish and end up getting hundreds of crimsonfish and paired up with a smoker and artisan it becomes crazy at making money

that sounds like a great option! im currently playing coop and the money is just ridiculous that it kind of ruins the experience for us, maybe making it fully customizable through a slider in game per legendary fish?
maybe something like daily luck can also affect how many of the legendary fishies you can catch per day cause in my experience if we're lucky on any day we just head straight to the mines/skullcavern and that's our only option, it would be a nice change to have other activities to be considered by the players based on daily luck
im imagining something like you'd have an option for base # legendary fish caught per day, and then you'd have another slider of extra # legendary fish if lucky that day
yea, i think 1 per day is pretty balanced, you could also make it so it can only be "recatched" if you complete the cc or joja because in early game it is pretty op, but if you complete cc or joja you would be in more middle game
It would be awesome if there were a one per season (so one per year) option! Lore friendly that they're really big territorial fish so there's only ever one at a time in the valley waters, but after one is gone another eventually moves in :3
Love this mod and I utterly abuse it... Wondering if there is a way to set a 'limit' in the mod? E.g. instead of just catching an unlimited amount, you limit it to 5 or 15 or 20 of each? Or let it be user definable? I know there is the toggle key, but I always forget to assign it / use it.

Looks like that after turning the catching on and off in the mod's config in GMCM, you can still catch one more fish even if you had already captured it before. Checking with LookUp Anything, looks like the caugh flag had been removed, but not reverted back.
Could it be possible to change the mod so that when turning the setting off in GMCM, it checks the number of legendary fish caught and reverts the flag that prevents catching if the number is more than 0?
Hi! I'm not familiar with how that mod's fish work, but this should work with any custom legendary fish implemented the same way as the base game's legendary fish (i.e. they have the fish_legendary context tag and set the catch limit to 1).
