Cool. I am so glad to see someone else pick this up! But what about the other bugs with the food buff stacking mod? Specifically the permanent max energy buff. And did your testing have any problems with the "I'm not thirsty right now" debuff that prevented drinking items when consuming max energy buff items?
Honestly, I don't know how to get this buff) I’m playing on a new save, but before that I played rather superficially. First of all, I solved a bug that bothered me personally. If you can tell me how to get the buggy buff, I can take a look, maybe I can fix it)
It is listed in the original mods bug section, but it goes like this: 1) If you eat something with max energy food buff and go to sleep before it expires the temporary max energy cap becomes the new max energy cap. This effectively makes it so you can create a stacking permanent max energy (intentionally or not). 2) The second issue is a debuff that occurs when you eat anything with a max energy buff and then try to drink something like A life potion. You get a notification "Not thirsty right now" and just don't drink. (In hindsight this may be a safety feature to prevent stack overflow of the max energy buff that I also had unknowingly).
Also I noticed that consuming 2 items with the same buff also causes problems. The Greater time is prioritized but the newer buff overwrites the old buffs quality. Like +1fishing overwriting a +3fishing.
